Franciso Muniz IV, popularly known as Frankie Muniz was born on 5th December in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey, US in the year 1985. His acting career began when he was 8 years old after being noticed by an agent at a talent show. His debute film, “To Dance with Olivia” was released in the year 1997 after which he bagged a small role in “Lost and Found” in the year 1999. Muniz  became immensely popular through the hit TV series, “Malcolm in the Middle”. The series was first aired in February, 2000 and became an instant hit, both critically and commercially.

Muniz has also starred in subsequent movies like “Agent Cody Banks, “Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London”, “Big Fat Liar”, “Stay Alive” and more. Muniz kept trying his luck in various fields within entertainment industry (musician, actor, producer)as well as beyond it (racecar driver).

In the year 2003, Muniz was considered as “one of Hollywood’s most bankable teens”.  With a net worth of $40 million, Frankie Muniz is one of the most popular and loved star in Hollywood.

Other than being a part of “Malcolm in the Middle”, Frankie Muniz made several guests appearances on popular shows such as “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch” and “Lizzie McGuire”. Muniz became the executive producer of “Granted” in the year 2004. He was the executive producer of “Choose Your Own Adventure: The Abominable Snowman” released in the year 2006. Muniz took a break from the entertainment industry to concentrate on his career as a racecar driver. In the year 2005 he won the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race in which he participated as a celebrity participant. He signed a two year deal as a driver with Jensen Motorsport. His performance in the 2006 Formula BMW USA series was not all that impressive.

Muniz participated in the Champ Car Atlantic series in 2007. His best finish in the season of 12 races was ninth place. Muniz earned 41 points and a sum of $17,000 as prize money. He secured the second position in Sebring Winter national race in the year 2007. In 2008

Frankie’s luxurious home; Phoenix mansion covers an area of around 5,500 square feet approximately. The mansion has four bedrooms and bathrooms. From the sable colored maple floors to the custom cabinetry from Maistri, everything about this house is unique and expensive. Although he has downsized his collection of cars, Frankie has owned a number of luxurious and expensive vehicles in the past including Jetta (from the movie The fast and the Furious), a Lotus Esprit, a Cadillac Escalade, a Pontiac Vide and a Porsche Speedster. Frankie owns a Maserati Coupe.

Muniz met Jamie Gandy while shooting for his movie Stay Alive. The relationship did not last very long. In 2007, Frankie started dating Elycia Marie who is the owner of arcadia Vintage. The couple got engaged in the year 2011.

 

Controversy

In February 2011, Frankie and his girlfriend Elycia Marie Turnbow had a huge fight. If rumors are to be believed, things got a bit out of hand when Frankie pointed a gun to his head. However Frankie claimed that neither did he assault Elycia nor did the gun play any part in the argument while Elycia had a different story to tell.

Muniz has  earned two Golden Globe Awards nominations and one Emmy Awards nomination.. He has received the Young Artists Award in  2001, 2002 and 2003.  He won the YoungStar Award for best young actor in a comedy TV series and Best Young Ensemble Cast-Television in the year 2000. He has also received several other awards including Satellite Award for best performance by an actor in a series in the year 2001, Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards for favorite television actor.
