Not many know that Pink’s real name is Alecia Beth Moore. She is known for her music all over the world. Her life has been a whirlwind! Pink has won three Grammy Awards, a Brit Award and six MTV Video Music Awards. Her net worth makes her one of the most commercially successful artists of her generation.


Moore/ Pink was born in 1979, in Pennsylvania to Judith and Jim Moore. Though Pink has a healthy baby, she developed asthma during her early years. Her father is her number one inspiration! Apart from her keenness in music, Pink used to be a gymnast for eight years. Ever since she started with music and song writing, she poured her emotions into the lyrics. Pink had a troubled childhood with her parents constantly fighting and then heading down for a divorce.

2010-2011 were wonderful years for Pink, giving her more success than ever!  She collaborated on the album The Imagine Project, in which she sang Peter Gabriel’s Don’t Give Up with John Legend and contributed vocals to John Lennon’s “Imagine” with Seal, India.Arie, Jeff Beck, Konono, Oumou Sangare and others.

Pink lent her voice to the character of Gloria in Happy Feet Two, in 2011. She sang the theme song as well. “Just Give Me a Reason” got her a lot of laurels.


In 2010, Pink appeared on Forbes The Celebrity 100 list at #27, with earnings as high as $44 million. In 2013, she appeared on Forbes list of Highest Paid Musicians, with the earnings of $32 million.


Pink has named Janis Joplin as her biggest musical influence. Madonna also has influenced her in many ways. Some other influences include Joan Jett, Mary J. Blige, Billy Joel, Linda Perry and Whitney Houston.


Pink is bright! Pink is life! One looks at her and notices that her appearance screams adventure and acceptance of who he is. She is known for her style and looks. Pink is an avid supporter of PETA. Pink is also outspoken about LGBT rights and is in supports of marriage equality. Pink is a vegetarian most of the time but does not mind an occasional chicken and fish. Pink first met the love of her life, Carey Hart, at the 2001 X Games. She proposed to him for marriage in a brilliant, outspoken yet romantic way! They have had their ups and downs but they continue to be strong and support each other. Pink gave birth to her daughter, Willow Sage Hart in 2011.
