She gained popularity after portraying the role of ‘Erica kane’ in the drama series, All my children. She has been referred to as ‘Daytime’s leading lady’ TV Guide. She was the highest paid actress in daytime television. Reportedly, Susan had an income of 1 Million dollars per year in 1991. She was included in TV Guide’s list of 50 Greatest stars of Television. She played the character from 16 January 1970 to 23 September 2011. She starred opposite Ruth Warrick. She had a very close relationship with Ruth Warrick. She played the rival of Wendy Malick’s role.  In 2012, she appeared in a music video of Gloria Estefan. She did a cameo in the TV series, Army wives.
