His real name is Ian Matthias Bavitz. He was born on 5 June 1976, in Northport, New York. He was raised in a catholic family though he became an agnostic in his elder days. It had a different sound and was thus appreciated by the critics and the fans. He then took a hiatus for a few years. His next album was Skelethon. It was released in 2012 and debuted at number 21 on the billboard charts. The album sold 14,000 copies in its first week. Its combined sales are about 20,000.
