<h2><strong>EARLY LIFE AND CAREER</strong></h2>
<div id="attachment_9956" style="width: 310px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><a href="/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Eminem-Berzerk-Rick-Rubin.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-9956" alt="Rick with Eminem." src="/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Eminem-Berzerk-Rick-Rubin-300x153.jpg" width="300" height="153" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Rick with Eminem.</p></div>
<p>Rick Rubin was born on March 10 1963. He was born in Long Beach, New York. He grew up in Lido Beach. He belonged to a Jewish family. His mother was a housewife and his daddy did shoe business. In his college days, he formed a punk band named &#8216;Prick&#8217;. He was quite unpopular in school among musicians since he merely knew a few guitar chords. He soon developed an interest in Hip Hop and formed the Def Jam records. Rick Rubin initially signed many rap artists and produced a few tracks. He collaborated to Public Enemy in their Hip Hop album. He coaxed the Beastie Boys to change their genre to rap. He was also the part of Run DMC&#8217;s breakthrough album. He fused rap with rock. He made Aerosmith collaborate with Run-DMC over the song &#8216;Walk this way&#8217;. The song is said to introduce the Rap Rock genre. He then produced the album &#8216;Reign in Blood&#8217; for Slayer. In 1987, The Cult released the album &#8216;Electric&#8217; which was produced by Rick Rubin and remains to be a classic. He wrote and directed the Run DMC starrer movie, Tougher than Leather. Due to a rivalry with the president, Rick Rubin left Def Jam Recordings. He then formed Def American Recordings and signed many heavy metal bands such as Danzig, Master of Reality, and Wolfsbane. He also signed alternative rock acts such as Jesus and the Mary Chain. He continued his affinity with rap by signing acts such as Public Enemy, LL Cool J and Run DMC. Rick Rubin has produced the famous Jay Z track &#8217;99 Problems but a bitch ain&#8217;t one&#8217;.  He produced an album for Mick Jagger in 1993. In 1995, he produced AC/DC&#8217;s &#8216;Ballbreaker&#8217;. In 1996, he produced &#8216;Donovan&#8217;s album &#8216;Sutra&#8217;. Rubin has won various Grammy awards for his various production&#8217;s. Rick Rubin is known for his Stripped down Music. He uses naked vocals and instruments. Dr. Dre once called Rick Rubin &#8216;as the dopest producer ever&#8217;. He&#8217;s lets the music come out instead of manufacturing it. He has fused different genres of music and has worked with a variety of artists. His style has come from Rock, funk and Rap. He has been criticized to create a &#8216;Loudness war&#8217; through his music. This criticism was directed towards his produced albums such as &#8216;Death Magnetic&#8217;, &#8217;13&#8242; and Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers.</p>

<div id="r1PostCPBlock">&#8220;I never decide if an idea is good or bad until I try it. So much of what gets in the way of things being good is thinking that we know. And the more that we can remove any baggage we&#8217;re carrying with us, and just be in the moment, use our ears, and pay attention to what&#8217;s happening, and just listen to the inner voice that directs us, the better.&#8221;</div>
<div></div>
<div>
<div id="r1PostCPBlock">&#8220;My taste changes radically all the time, and I listen to whatever feels good. Another thing is that I&#8217;m in the studio so much of the time, and I listen to so much loud, aggressive music for work, that for pleasure, I&#8217;ll listen to something else.&#8221;</div>
<div></div>
<div>
<div id="r1PostCPBlock">&#8220;Everything happens kind of the way it&#8217;s supposed to happen, and we just watch it unfold. And you can&#8217;t control it. Looking back, you can&#8217;t say, &#8216;I should&#8217;ve&#8230; &#8216; You didn&#8217;t, and had you, the outcome would have been different.&#8221;</div>
<div></div>
<div>
<div id="r1PostCPBlock">&#8220;Everything I do, whether it&#8217;s producing or signing an artist, always starts with the songs. When I&#8217;m listening, I&#8217;m looking for a balance that you could see in anything. Whether it&#8217;s a great painting or a building or a sunset.&#8221;</div>
<div></div>
<div>
<div id="r1PostCPBlock">&#8220;I&#8217;m just trying to make my favorite music. That&#8217;s how I work; I just do things based on the way they feel to me. I want to be touched by the music I&#8217;m making. Luckily, other people have shared that response to my work over the years.&#8221;</div>

<h2>FAMOUS QUOTES</h2>
<p>‘It seems like stupid America celebrates a person that says “yeah I’m a drug dealer, I’m bringing the drugs into the hood”. The reason why hip hop exists is because it started out with good intentions, once all the good intentions left the music became polluted, it became disrespectful it became immature.’</p>
<p>&#8220;I need a little help Jay, I got a little problem. A guy like yourself, maybe you can help me solve em . I only want to know why this happens all the time<br />
(What?) Everywhere I go, I start to rap and rhyme . I rock them in the day (yeah you rock em every night) . I rock em when I left so def I knew something was wrong (alright). I rhyme when I am sleeping, I rhyme when I&#8217;m awake.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;When I was nine I said a rhyme by putting candles on my cake. I just came from the bank (you said a rhyme?) A rhyme so funny. A song about the line so long they all gave me their money. That&#8217;s why I came to you, you&#8217;re my friend (yes that is true). Said maybe Jay knows what to say, he&#8217;ll tell me what to do.. &#8221;</p>
<p>‘If you make a record about a gun, on that very same record or album there’s gotta be a record about not using a gun. If you’re making a record on the b**** or the h*es, there’s got to be a record about your aunt who worked all of the days of her life to send all her children to college,’</p>
<p>‘When we made the record for adidas we didn’t make it to get an endorsement, it wasn’t about business. We took positivity and made it gangsta, we never knew we would do something historic.&#8217;</p>

<p><strong> FAMOUS QUOTES BY ICE-T</strong></p>
<div id="r1PostCPBlock">&#8220;It&#8217;s just that when you heard hip-hop, no matter where you were, it was a culture that kind of made you want to try to be part of it. Whether you thought you were an artist, whether you thought you could be a DJ, whether you thought you could breakdance, or whether you thought you could rap. It was the kind of culture that had a lot of open doors.&#8221;</div>
<div></div>
<div>
<div id="r1PostCPBlock">&#8220;I started writing rhymes first and then put it to the music. I figured out I could lock it to the beat better if I heard the music first. I like to get a lot of tracks, put the track up and let the music talk to me about what it&#8217;s about.&#8221;</div>
