Lee Min-Ho is a famous South Korean actor, singer and model. He became popular with Boys Over Flowers (2009) as Gu Joon Pyo, City Hunter (2011, action Drama) & romantic comedy drama The Heirs (2013). Lee got a nickname “King of Ads”.

Early life and career

Lee Min-Ho was born on June 22, 1987 in Heukseok-dong, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, South Korea. From childhood Min-Ho wanted to be a football (soccer) player but due to an injury he suffered in his elementary school he could not pursue his dream. When he learned about his broken dream he wanted to start his career in modeling and acting. He did this when he was in the second year of his high school. Firstly, he was offered small roles in television dramas. He completed his graduation from Seoul Namseung elem, Banpo mid, Danggok high. Through television drama Secret campus Lee got his first role. Initially he used his stage name as Lee Min but soon changed it back to his original name.

In 2006, the famous and popular actor went a serious car accident in which he was severely injured. Also, he had a minor plastic surgery operation of nose due to the injury caused in accident.  After fully recovering, in 2008, Lee appeared in many serials like Get Up and I Am Sam. After this he also appeared in two movies viz. Public Enemy Returns and Our School’s E.T. while working in movies he and Kim Soo-ro became good friends.

With the year 2009 he reached the heights of success by working as Gu joon Pyo, lead role in television drama Boys Over Flowers. The drama was based on the popular Japanese television drama Hana Yori Dango. Interestingly, Lee came to know about him being selected through newspaper. The success of Min-Ho by Boys Over Flowers opened a number of doors. He then appeared in Personal Taste (drama). Then Lee worked in an action drama titled City Hunter. The success of drama City Hunter made Lee famous not only in Korea but also in Asia, most notably in Japan, Philippines and China.  In 2012 he appeared in Faith  and in 2013 he starred in The Heirs, also known as “The Inheritors”. Besides these Lee also appeared in Mackerel Run (2007). He also released a album in 2103.

Recently in January 2014 he made a history by performing on China’s CCTV’s Lunar New Year gala as he was the first Korean celebrity who performed. The show garnered great attention because of the Lee’s presence. It is also said that performing on New Year gala is considered as an honor among the Chinese artists.

Apart from working in various daily soaps and movies Lee also appeared in a number of commercial advertisements in many countries. These include 12 Plus Shower Cream, Anna Sui for FILA, A Twosome Place, Cantata Coffee etc. Lee worked for around 43 endorsements till date. After working in so many commercials he was chosen as the most attractive male celebrity for cosmetics brands in 2012. Lee was ranked first in a survey “The most attractive male celebrities in TV commercials for cosmetics brands, who make women open their wallets” carried out by The community portal site DC Inside.

Currently he (leading role) is working  for a crime based movie Gangnam Blues opposite Kim Rae-won.

Lee has a small sweet family comprising of his mother, father and an older sister, Lee Jun Kyung.  he also got a female Mini Pinscher dog named “Choco”. Jun kyung also started working in entertainment field. Awarded about his broken dream Lee still keeps up with the football. His favorite player is Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United is his favorite football club. Lee’s alma mater is Konkuk University from where he majoring in Film and Art. His father is a business man but he doesn’t like publicity. Lee had been in a relationship twice, first in his high school and second in University.

He also won Korean Updates Awards category Best Actor for Faith in 2012. In the same year he won SBS Drama Awards category Best Actor in a Miniseries and Top 10 Stars Award for faith. In year 2013 he won a total of 13 awards. He won 12th China Fashion Awards for Best Popular Asian Actor Award and 1st Drama Fever Awards categories Best Actor and Best Couple (with Kim Hee-sun) for Faith. They were Sohu Media Awards for Best Popular International Actor and rest nine for The Heirs – Baidu Feidian Awards category Best Asian award, Korean Updates Awards category Best Actor, Most Favorite Couple (with Park Shin-hve) and Grand awards, SBs drama awards in categories Top Excellence Award, Mid-length Series, Most Popular Star Award, Best Couple Award (with Park Shin-hve), Best Dressed and Top 10 Stars Award.

Kim Hyun Joong is a famed Korean actor and singer but do not confuse him with Kim Hyung-jun, another famous Korean celebrity. Kim hyun is also an entertainer and the leader and main rapper of boyband SS501. He is best known for his role in Boys Over Flowers as Yoon Ji-hoo. Not only this, Kim Hyun joong is also a style icon member of the charity football team FC MEN in South Korea.

Early life and Career

The style icon was born on June 6, 1986, in Seoul, South Korea. Hyun Joong used to play bass guitar in a band during his school years. To become a singer he was dropped out of the school though he was a diligent student, but soon rejoined it and completed his education after making his debut in band SS501 in 2005.  He is the eldest member of the band SS501. Soon after his debut in band he released his debut album titled Warning and after 5 months they released their second mini album, Snow Prince. The group earned popularity and established a fan club called “Triple S” in Korea and “Triple S Japan” in Japan. The band SS501 released several albums, Kokoro, Distance, Deja Vu and Lucky Days albums. Kim also worked as a waiter in a family restaurant located at Jamsil-dong. Starting from 2005, he initially worked in two sitcoms – Nonstop 5 and Can Love Be Refilled? After 2005 he starred in various dramas, Hotelier (2007), Spotlight (2008), Boys Over Flowers (2009), Playful Kiss (2010), Dream High (20011) and Inspiring Generation (2014). The singer Kim Hyun Joong also sang various TV show Theme songs viz. In addition to these Kim also released his first Japanese single Kiss Kiss / Lucky Guy in 2012.after one week it sold more than a million copies in Japan and acquired a gold status there. For drama Playful Kiss (2010) he earned Male Popularity Award at MBC Drama Awards. He also received the best dresser award in year 2010 at Sky Perfect TV awards.

Besides these he is the owner of a number other awards. He also won awards for “We Got Married” and “Lucky”.

He is known to have the most expensive house ranked no. 4, located at Changdamdong in a Europian style villa. He purchased the house after his tremendous success of concerts in Japan worth $1.7 Million.

He also owns a white Ferrari, which he rarely drives.
