Net Worth: $75 million

Career/Profession: National Football League Commissioner

Roger Goodell is the Commissioner of National Football League who has a net worth of about $75 million. He has obtained this position after the successfully winning the competition over four finalists. He was selected for the president of NFL charities and this duty comes along as a substitution with the Commissioner’s job. Commentators in NFL season 2006 entitled him as ‘the most powerful man in sports’ all over the country.

Star of the season:

Goodell took birth in Jamestown, New York on February 19th, 1959. He was born to Senator Charles Ellsworth Goodell and Jean Goodell. He had completed his schooling from Bronxville High School. During his graduation, he became the star of basketball, baseball and football too. He also got the opportunity to serve all the three teams as a captain and was entitled as the athlete of the year in school. He had completed his graduation in 1981 from Washington & Jefferson College in Pennsylvania with a master in economics. Due to various injuries he got in high school, he was unable to play football.

Journey from Intern to COO:

Goodell stars started to shine in 1982 when he was chosen as the administrative intern of NFL in New York. He was working under Pete Rozelle, commissioner of NFL during those days. In 1983 he moved to New York Jets for the internship, but again took a transition and moved as an assistant in the publicity department in the league office in 1984. In 1987, he was selected for the position of President of the American Football Conference. Under the reign of Pete Rozelle, he was appointed for NFL Executive Vice President and then Chief Operating Officer in 2001. Being the NFL’s COO, he got the responsibility for various operations in Football league as well as became the supervisor of league’s business functions. He also became the head of NFL ventures which had to manage all the functions of marketing and sales department, stadium development and media properties too.

Goodell involved himself in the Collective bargaining agreement between the NFLPA and NFL owners in 2011. He also played a lead role in the expansion and realignment of league, development of the stadium. He also secured new agreements on television and launched NFL Network.

Tough Competition for Commissioner:

Goodell was selected as a commissioner after the retirement of Paul Tagliabue. Paul formed a committee owned by Dan Rooney, who belonged to the Pittsburgh Steelers for the search of his successor. Goodell was in the list of five finalists, including Robert Reynolds, Mayo Shattuck III, Gregg Levy and Frederick Nance. In the first ballot, he was ahead of Levy but in the second and third ballot Goodell made a lead with 17-14 and in the fourth it made a score of 21-10. In the fifth ballot two owners swung their votes. And finally he was selected as the commissioner of the NFL in 2006 after Paul Tagliabue. His main duty being the commissioner of the NFL is to maintain the integrity of the game and protect the shield.

New policies launched by him:

In 2007, NFL Personal Conduct Policy came into existence after the scandal of NFL players off the field. Chris Henry and Pacman Jones were the two players who were suspended due to this new policy. A month later Tank Johnson was suspended due to weapon association and drunk driving. Goodell also suspended Dallas Cowboys and fined him $100,000. Rodney Harrison also captured due to the illegal of banned medical products. He also started a policy in which no misbehavior will be accepted in the field. He started charging fine for that and various players became a victim of this like James Harrison, Dunta Robinson etc. He emphasizes more on the safe techniques to play the game. This attitude was criticized by various players and they felt that he was making wrong use of his power and trying to impose his decision over them. In 2007, he became a danger for New England Patriots after the illegal work done them of making a video tape of the signals. He firstly decided to suspend Bill Belichick, but then he thought charging fine of $250,000 would be more effective than the suspension.

Earned money by charging fine:

In 2012, Goodell came across New Orleans Saints in which Saints players were paid bonuses after knocking opposite players out of the game. He launched a bounty program in which he put harsh penalties on the Saint defensive players. He also suspended Williams and he would not be able to apply again till 2012 end. Saints were charged with a fine of about $ 500,000 and stripped out of 2012 and 2013 draft picks.

Personal Life:

Goodell got married to Jane Skinner, anchor from Fox News Channel. The couple together has two twin daughters. He has four brothers who are working in the big companies and accommodating good positions in it.

Salary along with Bonuses:

Roger has an estimated net worth of about $ 75 million being the Commissioner of National Football League. He has a base salary of about $7.2 million with a bonus of about $37 million. During the period of 2012-2013 he earned $44.2 million, including his salary and bonuses both.

Assets:

Roger Goodell being the commissioner of National Football League is currently living in Bronxville New York USA. He built his house on an area covering 6200 square foot near sea shores. he has one guest house in Peninsula near sea shores. His sources found that he generates $6 billion in a year. He was very fond of going on vacations so one of his apartment is under construction in Prouts, Maine and this is known as his residence of Summer.

Net Worth: $45 million

Career/Profession: American football player, athlete

Antonio Ramiro Tony Romo popularly known as Tony Romo is an American star who belongs to Dallas Cowboys of NFL (National Football League). He earned this net worth by playing as a football quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys.

Honorable achievements since childhood:

Tony was born on April 20th, 1980 in San Diego, California. His father was a Navy man in the United States and his family lived in Burlington. Since childhood, he has been an athlete and at a very early age he joined Little League All-star team. He started playing for his school team in Burlington High School in 1996. In 1997 he achieved several honors and awards by making records against Demons. He also loved to play basketball, golf and tennis and sometimes used to be in their tournaments too. While he was in college, he played for Illinois Panthers football team and awarded with so many honorable titles. These titles include Walter Payton Award, OVC Player of the week, consensus All-America honors, etc. But due to his return he took retirement from the team and it was really heartbreaking period for him.

His journey with Dallas Cowboys:

Initially Romo was not on the list of Dallas Cowboys instead he was just the trainee under the head coach. Sooner his game was appreciated by the members of the committee and he was forwarded as the holder for the kicks in 2004. But in 2005 and 2006 he replaced quarterback Drew Bledsoe from his position and took that position in his hand. Here is some of his amazing season play:

2006 Season: Replacing Drew Bledsoe he started his first season as a football quarterback against Houston Texans. After few days Bill Parcells declared him permanent for this position. Then he got a chance to play against the Carolina Panthers. He led his team to victory and achieved success. He also led Dallas to win the game against the Indianapolis Colts. Because of his performance in this season he received Galloping Gobbler Award.

2007 Season: This season’s beginning proved to be quite amazing and successful for him. Started with New York Giants then Miami Dolphins he continuously achieved success and led Dallas to the target. In the fifth week of the season Dallas played against Buffalo Bills where Romo throws five interceptions in a single game. His NFL passing rate was 97.4 which were quite good. His agreement with Dallas was about to end during this season so he took an extension for about $67.5 million. End of the season was disappointing for him as Dallas was defeated by the New York Giants.

2008 Season: season’s winning account was opened with the victory over Cleveland Browns where 24 passes for 320 yards was in Romo’s account. He also got severe injuries during this season that needed surgeries. They also got a victory against Philadelphia Eagles, but lost the game when played against the Washington Redskins. There were several ups and downs during this season, but in the end season proved to be worth playing.

Some other ventures he explored:

As his interest was not limited to football instead he was fond of playing basketball, golf and tennis too. Along with footballer he was an amateur golfer too. He got qualified for the EDS Byron Nelson Championship in 2004 and also for U.S Open Championship in 2005. During his free time with Dallas he was seen playing golf. He also made some guest appearance in radio programs related to sports. In 2006 and 2007 he also hosted the show based on Dallas play called as ‘Inside the Huddle’. This show was aired on KLLI radio station.

Personal life:

Romo even was so successful still had a tough personal life. Once it was in news that he was dating Jessica Simpson, who was an actress. She also came to his game which was against Philadelphia Eagles, but unfortunately Dallas lost this game. In 2009 the couple had broken up and got separated. In 2011, he got married to Candice Crawford. She was a Miss Missouri, USA and a journalist. The couple together has a son named Hawkins Crawford Romo.

His Earnings and Deals:

Tony Romo had several deals and contracts with different firms. His biggest deal was worth $ 119.5 million, which was amongst the top 15 deals in the NFL History. His earnings for several years are as follows:

2008: $605,000

2009: $620,000

2010: $8.5 million

2011: $810,000

2012: $825,000

2013: $11.5 million

He signed a 3 year contract worth $920,000 contract with the Dallas Cowboys in 2003.

Endorsement Deals:

His earnings and net worth is not only because of his play, but it also includes some fanaticizing endorsement deals. He has signed a five year contract with Starter, an apparel marketer worth $10 million. He has also some deals with Pepsi. Previously, he used to have some terms with Reebok too, which was worth $20,000 per year.

Quote:

Net Worth: $28 million

Career/Profession: American Football Player

Barry Sanders is a famous American football runner who spent his whole career serving Detroit Lions for the period of 1989-1998. He was amongst the list of the top runners in the NFL history. He was selected for Pro-Bowl for about ten times and also nominated himself in the All-Pro Selection for six times. He was entitled with various awards such as Offensive Player of the Year and MVP Awards. He has a net worth of $ 28 million. He took retirement from this professional career, but the images of his running back are still occupying space in the minds of his fans.

Career

In School:

Barry was born in Wichita, Kansas, where he had completed his schooling from Wichita North High School. He joined the local team of his school, but not as a runner. He took that position in the fourth game. He earned various state awards for his amazing performance, rushing 1,417 yards. Till the span of seven games his average was 10.2 yards. His performance captured the eyes of various recruiters of the football league and due to this he was offered a scholarship from Emporia State and Oklahoma State.

In College:

Barry chose to be a part of Oklahoma State Cowboys in 1986 till 1988. Initially in the first two years he assisted Thurman Thomas. In late 1987 he got the chance to show his performance with a score of 600 yards and 8 touchdowns. In 1988, he came up with a sparkling performance with an average of 7.6 yards per carry and 200 yards in each game. For the team he was considered as their kickoff returner. He had set a record for 37 touchdowns, 2 touchdowns in 11 consecutive plays etc. He was also awarded with Heisman Trophy for its outstanding performance. He was lucky enough to play with the teams coach Mike Gundy, starting quarterback. After this he planned to leave the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

His personality is the biggest concern of another player:

In the 1989 draft Barry Sander was selected by the Detroit Lions in the 3rd pic. The whole credit goes to Wayne Fontes. Wayne Fontes selected him in the draft instead of other Sanders. Wayne gave him the position of former best runner player Billy Sims and Sanders considered it as the tribute. Barry was very good in his kicks, which solidly hit their target. Other members of the team were concerned about his personality as his height was 5’8’’ and weight was 91 kg but this weight helped him to have high acceleration and low center of mass accumulated. His on field behavior was quite different from other players. He never celebrates his victory on the field instead his hand over the ball to the coach and moved out after wishing his team mates.

The success achieved by the Detroit Lions:

In 1988, Barrie due to the disputes was not able to attend his rookie training camp. He rushed for 18 yards during his ordinary season and also scored several touchdowns. He also won the title of Rookie of the Year Award. Barry was their best runner whose running back ability led the Detroit Lions to make playoff for five times in 1990s. When the team won NFC Central Division award he was the part of its squad in 1991 and 1993. In his reign team won 12 regular games in the season. In 1994, he ran for 1,883 yards with an average of 5.7 yards per game. His total score was 283 receiving yards for the season. In this season he was called as NFL’s Offensive Player of the year. In 1995 and 1996 this blast performance of Barry continued defeating every other team in the battle.

Fortunate enough in 1997:

Barry was fortunate enough to get selected in 2000 rushing yards clubs in 1997. This season proved to be one of the great seasons in his career. The game started with a blast where he scored 53 yards in 25 carries. This gave his name nominated for the NFL record. He achieved 2000 yards after O.J Simpson. In four consecutive years he rushed for 1500 yards in the first five seasons. In the end Barry shared NFL Most Valuable Player Award with Brett Favre, Green Bay Quarter Back. The season ended giving him the fame and popularity which is still continuing.

Disappointments later on followed by success:

Instead of so many achievements and success Barry was unable to take his team to the Super Bowl. In 1991, they came very close to the Super Bowl, but unable to make it. They defeated the Dallas Cowboys with 12-4 record. They also captured the NFL Championship after defeating the Cleveland Browns, but lost the game from the Washington Redskins. But, his stars appeared to shine when he received the Pro Bowl status in all the 10 seasons and also selected for All-Pro Bowl Selection for eight times. He also received an NFL MVP award in 1997 and most offensive player of the year in 1994 and 1997.

His contracts, assets and endorsements:

Barry Sanders is very professional and particular about his work. He always pursued with his decision after making all the formalities. For ex he signed a six year contract with the Detroit Lions in 1997 worth $35.4 million and also in 1989 he signed a five year contract worth $9.5 million. When he took retirement, he left $20.9 million on his table as his contract was still incomplete. When we talk about his endorsement, it is endless. He put down millions of dollars in various endorsements. He had signed an endorsement deal with Nike which made him to achieve larger profit.

SOURCE OF INCOME:

Brooke has earned a huge income through singing, acting, modelling and producing TV series.

EARLY LIFE:

Brooke Hogan was born on May 5th, 1988 as Brooke Ellen Bollea. She was born in Tampa, Florida and she is the eldest child of popular wrestling figure Hulk Hogan and Linda Bollea. She is better known by the world by her stage name Brooke Hogan. She has a younger brother by name Nick Hogan or Nick Bollea.

The family accustomed to success and fame helped Brooke easily become a celebrity as early as during her teenage. She was soon influenced during her early years by the music of the Isley Brothers, Earth, Wind & Fire, Whitney Houston and Toni Braxton. Her home was filled with music of such great artists. She was soon attracted towards music and had set a clear vision of becoming a pop star right at her tender age! She soon started learning to play piano at the age of five. She soon learnt dancing, singing and gymnastics too. During her freshman year at Clear-water Central Catholic High School, she joined the school’s cheer-leading squad and also sung in chorus for her school. When she was 10 years, she made her decision with the help of her parents to call talent agencies for a modelling contract. Thus, Brooke had been a model by her 15th year and soon after coming across her developed music skills, she was landed with opening acts for Backstreet Boys and Hilary Duff during their tours. She gradually started singing at Radio Disney’s holiday events. She graduated from high school at the age of sixteen.

MUSIC CAREER AND TV SERIES:

Brooke’s first recorded single “Everything to Me” was released in 2004. The same year, she along with her father, mother and brother were featured on a hour long television show on VH1. The show was a success and later on it took the form of a reality series of its own named “Hogan Knows Best”. The Hogan family’s daily life was captured on the lenses and so was Brooke’s. Her struggles were also documented. Soon, she was asked to lend her voice for producer Scott Storch’s label ‘Storch Music Company’. Thus she became the first artist to sign a deal with Scott Storch’s own company.

Four months of hard work by Brooke paved its way for the released of her debut dance-pop album ‘Undiscovered’. The album also featured Nelly Furtado, Beenie Man and Cam’ron. Before the release of the album, it’s single ‘About Us’ was released in 2006 which featured rapper Paul Wall and the single was a huge success. The success of the single helped them release Undiscovered in late October. Later on, he show ‘Hogan Knows Best’ was cancelled and her parents got divorced. But that was not the end for Brooke! In fact it was a new beginning for her. The same reality TV series came into screen again but in a different name ‘Brooke Knows Best’. This time, the show concentrated Brooke’s like as a young, single, autonomous woman. The show was telecast during the production of her second studio album – The Redemption. During this, she even released a free digital download of a mixtape “Judgement Day” after which she concentrated on The Redemption and released in July 2009 and the album made an entry at number 144 on the Billboard 200 and 27 on the Independent Albums chart. Nearly 3300 copies were sold during its first week.

Now she has signed to Fontana Records and she is the only artist signed till now to the label. On August 2009, she even completed her second season of Brooke Knows Best but the show never returned back to the screen after the second season. She also played a small role in the pilot episode of The Jeff Dunham Show. She even was featured in Toni Braxton’s music video for “Yesterday”.

CAREER IN MOVIES:

Brooke didn’t just stop at music and reality TV series but also took herself into acting career. Her debut appearance in the silver screen was the low budget live action film Little Hercules which was released in 2009. The film was produced in 3D format. The film was released in certain territories outside the United States. It was released on October 8, 2009 in Kazakhstan and Russia, and in the Czech Republic on January 7, 2010.

Brooke also acted in the famous science fiction film ‘Two Headed Shark Attack’ in the role of Kate, released on January 17, 2012. She also acted as Sandy Powers in ‘Sand Sharks’.

CAREER AT TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION WRESTLING:

Brooke signed a contract on May 17, 2012 with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling to work as an on-screen authority figure and a backstage consultant to the TNA Knockouts. She has appeared almost every Thursday night to promote the female’s wrestling division. She earned a lot of name and fame through the knockout championship matches she arranged during the mid 2012! She even hired Taryn Terrel as the referee for the TNA Women’s Knockout Championship match between Madison Rayne and Miss Tessmacher on the August 16, 2012 episode of Impact Wrestling.

RELATIONSHIPS

Brooke was engaged to Dallas Cowboys Center Phil Costa but later on they called off their engagement in November 2013. The reason for the split was that Brooke wanted to concentrate more on her music career.

Jerry Jones has a net worth of $ 2.7 billion.

He is the proud owner of National Football League’s Dallas Cowboys and an American businessman.

HIS EARLY DAYS AND HIS INTEREST IN FOOTBALL:

Born on October 13, 1942 to JW Pat Jones and Arminta Jones as Jerral Wayne Jones in Los Angeles, California but popularly known as Jerry Jones, he was always interested in football. When he was small his family moved to North Little Rock, Arkansas where he did his high schooling at North Little Rock High School. During his college days at University of Arkansas he also became a co-captain of the 1964 National Championship football team. During this period he had seen unlimited potential in the business of professional football. He was also a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity.

He played as an offensive lineman in Southwest Conference for coach Frank Broyles. Some of his notable teammates were Jimmy Johnson, Glen Ray Hines, Ken Hatfield, Jim Lindsey, and Loyd Phillips. He is also one of those few NFL owners who is also a successful player.

He then graduated from college in 1965 and was hired by his father’s insurance company ‘Modern Security Life of Springfield’ at Missouri as an Executive Vice President. He even completed his Masters degree in business in 1970.

HOW IS HE EARNING AND WHERE IS HE SPENDING?

Recently, Jones struck a massive deal of $ 500 million with AT&T for his stadium which has a capacity of 100,000. His sports franchise and also his cash machine is worth $ 2.3 billion. The Cowboys always gave him huge figures and in the last season it was $ 539 million (revenue) and $ 251 million (operating income). He had bought Cowboys in 1989 for $ 140 million. But, before buying the ultimate cash machine of his life, he had made his fortune in the 1970s with his ‘Jones Oil and Land Lease’, a very successful oil and gas exploration business in Arkansas.

As soon as he bought Cowboys, he immediately fired the long term coach of Cowboys Tom Landry and took in his college buddy Jimmy Johnson. Then, soon in 1990s the Cowboys won three Super Bowls. According to a recent study, the Cowboys are expected to receive around $ 200 million per year just from TV rights. They have signed deals with NFC, FOX, CBS, ESPN and DirecTV as of 2014. The team will also receive $ 80 million per year in annual sponsorship revenue for their stadium from companies like Ford Motor, Bank of America and PepsiCo. The cowboys also have their own merchandise which earns them an estimated amount of $ 80 million annually and that’s not it to jones! He receives money from stadium advertising, tickets and more! Isnt that enough for a cash maker to mint $ 500 millions annually?

It is shocking to know but the fact is Jerry Jones is worth around 41397 times more than that of a median US household!

HIS POPULARITY:

Jones has always been popular in the media and has appeared in a number of TV Series and also advertisements. Jones appeared as himself in a popular TV show COACH in the year 1996. In 1998, the character Baxter Cain (owner of the Dallas Felons) in the movie BASEketball was inspired by non other than Jerry Jones. He even made a cameo role by appearing as himself in the movie Dallas: War of the Ewings in the same year.

Jones along with his Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips and Quarterback Tony Romo were featured in a Diet Pepsi MAX television commercial in 2007. Jones also has appeared as himself in the seventh season of Entourage aired in HBO in 2010 and even for an episode titled Truth and Consequences for TNT.
