Peyton spent most of his career playing for Indianapolis Colts and switched to Denver Broncos after the injury in 2012. Manning’s exclusive playing manner has earned him a nickname “The Sheriff”.

Early life

Born in a family of a great athlete Archie Manning, a former American football quarterback, who has played for New Orleans Saints for nearly ten years, it seems like Peyton inherited the skills in his blood. Peyton was great at the game since the day he started playing. Already back at high school he has led his team to numerous victories and won various accolades. After graduation Peyton chose to play for the team of University of Tennessee. During the years at university Peyton played 45 games and won 39 of them. Peyton received an invitation to play at the National Football League for Indianapolis Colts right after he graduated from Tennessee.

To date, Peyton is the NFL record holder for most consecutive seasons with over 4,000 yards passing and most total seasons with 4,000 or more yards passing in a career. Peyton lead the Colts to a Super Bowl victory in 2006 against the Chicago Bears. Over his career, Peyton has received dozens of accolades including being a 13 time Pro-Bowl selection and four-time AP NFL MVP.

Unfortunately, Peyton was injured before the start of the 2011 season and was not able to play in a single game. After months of rumors, on March 7th 2012, Peyton Manning was let go by the Indianapolis Colts which made him a free agent to seek new offers. Born, Elisha Nelson “Eli” Manning, is the active iron man for consecutive starts by a quarterback. He is famous all through the continental US. His father was a NFL quarterback as well. His brother, Peyton Manning, was also a quarterback in Denver Broncos. Manning always had keen interest in football. He played college football at the University of Mississippi as well.

Manning is worth the money! He holds Giants franchise records for most passing yards, touchdown passes and completed passes in a career. He has had a shining career till date as his hard work always pays off. He led the Giants to victory in Super Bowl XLII and XLVI and was named the Most Valuable Player in each of the above mentioned Super Bowls.

CAREER

Manning was one of four quarterbacks taken in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft along with Ben Roethlisberger, Philip Rivers and J.P. Losman. He made his first career regular season start against the Atlants Falcons in 2004. Eli was named the starter for Giants in 2005.

Manning trained in the Meadowlands with offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride and new quarterbacks coach Chris Palmer in 2007. Manning and the Giants opened the 2008 season with a win over their division rivals, the Washington Redskins, 16-7, giving their team an awesome opening to the season. The same was seen again in 2009.

In 2010, Manning got seriously injured when he got hit by Brandon Jacobs, then by Calvin Pace, which knocked off his helmet, and smashed directly into Jim Leonhard’s face mask. This injury resulted in a big gash that needed 12 stitches. After the injury, as was obvious, Manning left the game.

In 2012, Manning finished the season with 26 touchdown passes, 15 interceptions, and 3,948 passing yards. In 2013, Manning led the Giants to start off the season with a 0-6 record, the worst regular season start since 1976. Manning’s four interceptions tied his career high and was the fourth time he threw four picks in a game.
