Run DMC was a legendary Hip Hop duo consisting of  Joseph “Run” Simmons, Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels, and Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell. It received poor reviews although a few singles became very successful. After the failure of their album, they became a bit stressed. Run and DMC joined a church. They started everything from the start. They returned in 1993 with the album ‘Down with the King’. It became extremely successful and peaked at number 1 position. This marked the return of Run-DMC. The album was declared Platinum. The Group went on tours for 10 years but eventually disbanded due to many creative difference. Jam Master Jay was murdered in 2002. After his death, the group officially retired.
