NET WORTH- $200 MILLION

PROFESSION- FORMER AMERICAN FOOTBALL PLAYER, COLOR COMMENTATOR AND FORMER HEAD-COACH

John Madden, the legendary ex-football player was born on 10th April, 1936 in Austin, Minnesota. He is better known as John Earl Madden. He played IN the National Football League. He has a lot of titles attached to him, which includes that of a former Super Bowl winning head coach of Oakland Riders in the American Football League, a former commentator for the widely known NFL telecasts. He was, in 2006, included in the renowned Pro-Football Hall of Fame. Besides the game, Madden has also written several books and advertised various products on television.

John Madden was born in Austin, United States. His father, Earl Russell Madden was an auto mechanic. While his mother, Mary Margret (Flaherty) Madden. When he was young, their family moved to a suburb of San Francisco, Daly City, California. He got his middle school education from Our Lady of Perpetual Help. It was under his coaching the team won seven AFC Western Division titles and also victory over the massive Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl XI. He retired in the year 1979.

FROM FOOTBALL TO TELEVISION

He entered into the world of television in the year 1980, where he worked for CBS. His abilities as an orator, describing even the finest points about football. To add more to the essence, he used his perfectly timed humor. All these qualities helped him become an icon in the television world. In the year 1994, he signed a deal with Fox, worth $32 million, for four years. This contract was one of the richest contract than any other NFL issues. In 2002, he joined Al Michaels for ABC’s Monday Night Football.

AND THEN TO PEN AND RADIO

Much to everyone’s surprise the legendary sportscaster has a booming net worth of $200 million. Even though he has been a professional much in demand football coach for almost ten years and also a national television sportscaster for some two decades, still no one has an answer as to how he built such a huge empire. Madden earned an amount of $5 million a year during his broadcasting career. Some deduce that it has been made possible because of his video game series called as Madden NFL which he started in 1989. T has been estimated that Madden has sold over 43 million copies of the game. The EA sports signed a deal with Madden in 2005 declaring the exclusive game for the NFL through 2012. The deal, according to the sources was worth $300 million. He also signed a deal with the athletes foot company “Tough Actin” which allowed him to bag $2 million every year.

Madden was awarded with Pete Rozelle Radio-Television Award in 2002 by The Pro Football Hall of Fame. Madden along with Rayfield Wright, in August 2005, was selected by the Hall’s Veterans’ Committee as candidates for entry into the Hall in 2006. David was at number two on David J.

Jerry Jones has a net worth of $ 2.7 billion.

He is the proud owner of National Football League’s Dallas Cowboys and an American businessman.

HIS EARLY DAYS AND HIS INTEREST IN FOOTBALL:

Born on October 13, 1942 to JW Pat Jones and Arminta Jones as Jerral Wayne Jones in Los Angeles, California but popularly known as Jerry Jones, he was always interested in football. When he was small his family moved to North Little Rock, Arkansas where he did his high schooling at North Little Rock High School. During his college days at University of Arkansas he also became a co-captain of the 1964 National Championship football team. During this period he had seen unlimited potential in the business of professional football. He was also a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity.

He played as an offensive lineman in Southwest Conference for coach Frank Broyles. Some of his notable teammates were Jimmy Johnson, Glen Ray Hines, Ken Hatfield, Jim Lindsey, and Loyd Phillips. He is also one of those few NFL owners who is also a successful player.

He then graduated from college in 1965 and was hired by his father’s insurance company ‘Modern Security Life of Springfield’ at Missouri as an Executive Vice President. He even completed his Masters degree in business in 1970.

HOW IS HE EARNING AND WHERE IS HE SPENDING?

Recently, Jones struck a massive deal of $ 500 million with AT&T for his stadium which has a capacity of 100,000. His sports franchise and also his cash machine is worth $ 2.3 billion. The Cowboys always gave him huge figures and in the last season it was $ 539 million (revenue) and $ 251 million (operating income). He had bought Cowboys in 1989 for $ 140 million. But, before buying the ultimate cash machine of his life, he had made his fortune in the 1970s with his ‘Jones Oil and Land Lease’, a very successful oil and gas exploration business in Arkansas.

As soon as he bought Cowboys, he immediately fired the long term coach of Cowboys Tom Landry and took in his college buddy Jimmy Johnson. Then, soon in 1990s the Cowboys won three Super Bowls. According to a recent study, the Cowboys are expected to receive around $ 200 million per year just from TV rights. They have signed deals with NFC, FOX, CBS, ESPN and DirecTV as of 2014. The team will also receive $ 80 million per year in annual sponsorship revenue for their stadium from companies like Ford Motor, Bank of America and PepsiCo. The cowboys also have their own merchandise which earns them an estimated amount of $ 80 million annually and that’s not it to jones! He receives money from stadium advertising, tickets and more! Isnt that enough for a cash maker to mint $ 500 millions annually?

It is shocking to know but the fact is Jerry Jones is worth around 41397 times more than that of a median US household!

HIS POPULARITY:
