EARLY LIFE:
Brooke Hogan was born on May 5th, 1988 as Brooke Ellen Bollea. She was born in Tampa, Florida and she is the eldest child of popular wrestling figure Hulk Hogan and Linda Bollea. She is better known by the world by her stage name Brooke Hogan. She has a younger brother by name Nick Hogan or Nick Bollea.
The family accustomed to success and fame helped Brooke easily become a celebrity as early as during her teenage. She was soon influenced during her early years by the music of the Isley Brothers, Earth, Wind & Fire, Whitney Houston and Toni Braxton. Her home was filled with music of such great artists. She was soon attracted towards music and had set a clear vision of becoming a pop star right at her tender age! She soon started learning to play piano at the age of five. She soon learnt dancing, singing and gymnastics too. During her freshman year at Clear-water Central Catholic High School, she joined the school’s cheer-leading squad and also sung in chorus for her school. When she was 10 years, she made her decision with the help of her parents to call talent agencies for a modelling contract. Thus, Brooke had been a model by her 15th year and soon after coming across her developed music skills, she was landed with opening acts for Backstreet Boys and Hilary Duff during their tours. She gradually started singing at Radio Disney’s holiday events. She graduated from high school at the age of sixteen.
MUSIC CAREER AND TV SERIES:
Brooke’s first recorded single “Everything to Me” was released in 2004. The same year, she along with her father, mother and brother were featured on a hour long television show on VH1. The show was a success and later on it took the form of a reality series of its own named “Hogan Knows Best”. The Hogan family’s daily life was captured on the lenses and so was Brooke’s. Her struggles were also documented. Soon, she was asked to lend her voice for producer Scott Storch’s label ‘Storch Music Company’. Thus she became the first artist to sign a deal with Scott Storch’s own company.
Four months of hard work by Brooke paved its way for the released of her debut dance-pop album ‘Undiscovered’. The album also featured Nelly Furtado, Beenie Man and Cam’ron. Before the release of the album, it’s single ‘About Us’ was released in 2006 which featured rapper Paul Wall and the single was a huge success. The success of the single helped them release Undiscovered in late October. Later on, he show ‘Hogan Knows Best’ was cancelled and her parents got divorced. But that was not the end for Brooke! In fact it was a new beginning for her. The same reality TV series came into screen again but in a different name ‘Brooke Knows Best’. This time, the show concentrated Brooke’s like as a young, single, autonomous woman. The show was telecast during the production of her second studio album – The Redemption. During this, she even released a free digital download of a mixtape “Judgement Day” after which she concentrated on The Redemption and released in July 2009 and the album made an entry at number 144 on the Billboard 200 and 27 on the Independent Albums chart. Nearly 3300 copies were sold during its first week.
Now she has signed to Fontana Records and she is the only artist signed till now to the label. On August 2009, she even completed her second season of Brooke Knows Best but the show never returned back to the screen after the second season. She also played a small role in the pilot episode of The Jeff Dunham Show. She even was featured in Toni Braxton’s music video for “Yesterday”.
CAREER IN MOVIES:
Brooke didn’t just stop at music and reality TV series but also took herself into acting career. Her debut appearance in the silver screen was the low budget live action film Little Hercules which was released in 2009. The film was produced in 3D format. The film was released in certain territories outside the United States. It was released on October 8, 2009 in Kazakhstan and Russia, and in the Czech Republic on January 7, 2010.
Brooke also acted in the famous science fiction film ‘Two Headed Shark Attack’ in the role of Kate, released on January 17, 2012. She also acted as Sandy Powers in ‘Sand Sharks’.
CAREER AT TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION WRESTLING:
Brooke signed a contract on May 17, 2012 with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling to work as an on-screen authority figure and a backstage consultant to the TNA Knockouts. She has appeared almost every Thursday night to promote the female’s wrestling division. She earned a lot of name and fame through the knockout championship matches she arranged during the mid 2012! She even hired Taryn Terrel as the referee for the TNA Women’s Knockout Championship match between Madison Rayne and Miss Tessmacher on the August 16, 2012 episode of Impact Wrestling.
RELATIONSHIPS
Brooke was engaged to Dallas Cowboys Center Phil Costa but later on they called off their engagement in November 2013. The reason for the split was that Brooke wanted to concentrate more on her music career.
