Danica Patrick is one of the most popular female Nascar drivers and . She is an auto racer, model and advertising spokeswoman. Patrick began racing go-carts with her sister at the age of 10. She dropped out of high school to pursue her career in England. It was there when she finished second at the Formula Ford Festival and became the first woman as well as the first American with the highest-ever finish. Patrick was voted  number 42 in 2006 and number 85 in 2007 in the list of FHM’s top 100 sexiest women in the world. In 2007 she was also voted the sexiest athlete in Victoria’s Secret “What is Sexy” list.

Though she has not been very successful on the tracks, but because of being the only woman NASCAR driver and her beauty she has come a lot into the limelight. She has earned $15 million last year which included around $7 million from endorsement deals alone. She is also the seventh highest paid NASCAR driver. She started as the NASCAR driver with 38th finish but her off the track career has been shining ever since she joined NASCAR and was sponsored by GoDaddy. Her major deal was with Coca Cola “Cokee Zero” for which she was paid hugely. She also endorsed Freeport-McMoran Shopper, Shamrock Foods and Republic Services and a series of popular Super Bowl commercials. These commercials are largely responsible for the domain name company’s success and popularity in the mainstream media.

She appeared in commercial for Secret deodorant in 2005 and 2006 after which she was replaced by Rihanna in 2007. An advertisement for Honda Civic Coupe features Danica trying to avoid a speeding ticket. Patrick also appeared in ESPN “This is Sports Center” in which she was an anchor. Patrick was also a part of Go Daddy commercial called “Kart”, in 2008, in which a young girl aspired to become like Patrick. She also appeared on an episode of American Chopper. In 2009, Patrick appeared on the two GoDaddy.com commercials advertised during Super Bowl XLIII. According to Tivo, it also happened to become the most watched commercial of Super Bowl in 2009.

Television, Videos and Games:

Patrick’s good looks combined with her youth brought her enormous opportunities in the glamour world as well. She started her acting career in February 2010 where she enacted a racing driver who was suspected of a murder. She also voiced for an episode of The Simpsons and appeared in Jay-Z’s music video “Show Me What You Got”. She also participated in Food Network’s cooking show Chopped and won the competition by defeating three other celebrities. She also featured in the documentary Girl Racers and hosted several shows on spike TV.  

She also appeared in the video game Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed as a playable guest character. She gave her own voice as well as appeared in the commercial of the game.

She also appeared in the music video “Fastest Girl in Town” in which she drove a 1969 Camaro SS. She was seen in a Colt Ford’s music video “Drivin’ Around Song” too.

Danica is one of the most popular female racers in the history of open-wheel racing in America. After winning a pole position and posting a podium result she was promoted by her bosses at Rahal Letterman Racing to IndyCar. In 2008, she won the Indy Japan 300 and in 2009, she finished 3rd at the Indianapolis 500. She is also the only woman to have won in the IndyCar Series. She began her career as a go-kart racer and then later joined Formula Ford before returning to the US. She was honoured with the rookie of the year Award for the IndyCar Series as well as Indianapolis 500 in 2005. She made it to the headlines for being the first woman to win the Indy 500. She is also the first woman to win the pole position at the Daytona 500.

Danica is also the record holder for running the most number of consecutive races at the finish in the IRL. She became a part of NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2010 and has been competing ever since in this series.

Besides being a racing star, she has also worked as a model. She earned 5 million dollars in 2006 and 2007 and her annual earnings rose to $7 million during 2008-2009. From 2009 to 2011 she made an annual income of $12 million. She signed a deal with Stewarrt Haas Racing at the beginning of 2013 and the contract is somewhere between 90 to 100 million dollars over a period of five years. She has grown to become one of the highest earning athletes as well as one of the richest drivers in the world. She earned $12 million in 2012 alone from NASCAR and several endorsement deals. She is also a brand ambassador of Tissot since 2005 and after she joined the NASCAR Series it gave Tissot an opportunity of taking the ride with her.

She owns assets worth $41, 434, 550 dollars. She has good control of her cash and spends less than she earns. The auto enthusiast owns an orange Lamborghini Gallardo which is worth $202,000.  In April 2007, Patrick and her husband bought a 7,531 square foot home in the Ancala, Scottsdale which cost them $4.06 million. However, the couple separated in January 2013.
