She was about fourteen years old when she was “discovered” by Sarah Doukas in the year 1988. Sarah Doukas is the founder of Storm Model Management in New York City. The 1990s were very good for Moss’ career. She is known for the part she played in the whole size zero fashion. Moss has worked with all the leading brands in the world like Gucci, Dolce & Gabbanna, Chanel, Rimmel and Calvin Klein. She has now been associated with the fashion industry for over twenty five years!!

EARLY LIFE

Moss was always a pretty, even as a kid. She was born in Greater London to the proud parents Rosina and Peter Edward Moss in the year 1974. She has a younger brother and also, a half sister named Lottie. Moss’ parents had an unfortunate divorce when Moss was only thirteen years old. Moss was discovered by Sarak Doukas in New York City, when she was only fourteen years old. Her early day pictures were often described as dirty realism or grunge.

Moss’ career is filled with ups and downs, drama, controversies and the works! Moss was like an anti-supermodel as she wasn’t curvaceous like the supermodels Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and the likes. Her weight was always a topic of controversy as she was often thought of as being anorexic. Moss has had the pleasure of working with major campaigns for brands like Bulgari, Rimmel, Dolce & Gabbanna and Calvin Klein. Apart from working with these brands, Moss has been featured on a lot of leading magazines like Vanity Fair, The Face, W and Vogue (UK, USA and French Vogue). She was replaced by Miranda Kerr.

Kate Moss is a supporter of War Child. She designed a charm necklace in lieu of helping out the Cancer Research Centre UK. She has been associated with organizations like Comic Relief, Make Poverty History, The Lucie Blackman Trust, Elton John AIDS Foundation and Homes of Hope for a long time.

PERSONAL LIFE

Kate Moss has had her fair share of relationships. Some of them were good, and some of them were bad. She has a lovely daughter named Lila Grace Moss Hack, who was conceived in 2002. The father of the child is Jefferson Hack. Moss has dated Pete Doherty and even though they got engaged in 2007, the couple split up. In the year 2011, Moss tied the knot with Jamie Hince. She looked stunning and wore a gorgeous dress by John Galliano.

There have been quite a few controversies regarding Moss’ drug abuse problem. In 2005, H&M dropped her because of the same reason. The next day, Chanel announced termination of their contract with Moss. Following was Burberry. Even in this phase, Moss was doing campaigns for Dior and was on the cover of W in 2005. Moss was often defended by Alexander McQueen. In 2006, Moss’ drug allegations were cleared by the British police as they could not find any evidence to support their statement.
