Lennox Lewis was born on 2 September 1965 in West Ham, London, England. His real name is Lennox Claudius Lewis and his nick name is The Lion Lenny. He is a retired boxer and the most recent undisputed world heavyweight champion who holds dual British and Canadian citizenship.  He won gold representing Canada in 1988 Olympics Games defeating Riddick Bowe who was a future heavyweight champion in the final. Lennox was renowned as the greatest heavyweight boxers of all the time. In the year 1989, he was turned almost professional and won 21 fights till then. In the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, he represented Canada under the Super Heavyweight category. In the year 1992, his most memorable fight was with Donovan Ruddock. In the year 2004, he announced his retirement from the boxing arena.

Lennox Lewis was born to Jamaican born parents. Though he was born in West Ham, London, England and later moved to Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Talking about his studies, he attended Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute for high school where he excelled in Canadian football, soccer and basketball.

After got the retirement from boxing, he moved to Miami Beach with his wife, Violet Chang who was a former Miss Jamaica runner up. They have four children. In the year 2007, he told AventuraUSA.com that he is contemplating opening an “International boxing academy” and started this record label but he has yet to embark on either endeavor. It is reported that he supports the English football team West Ham United which is the local team from his birth place. Talking about his residence, he has got a villa at the Tyrall Club in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

When he was very young he decided that, boxing is his favorite sports and will make his future in the same. In the year 1983, he won the world amateur junior title. He signed with boxing promoter Frank Maloney and his career filled with knockouts of journeymen. In the year 1990, he won the European heavyweight title against Frenchman Jean  Maurice Chanet. In is career, he defeated former WBA heavyweight champion Mike Weaver, Tyrell Biggs who was an Olympic Gold Medalist, Glenn McCrory who was a world cruiserweight title holder and Osvaldo Ocasio. Not only is this, he is a WBC Champion and knocked out a Canadian Donovan Ruddock in two rounds to achieve the number one position on WBC rankings. He was the first world heavyweight titleholder from Britain in the 20th century.

Apart from the boxing career, he appeared in the year 2000 on Reflection Eternal’s debut album Train of Thought and gave a shout out on the track “Down for the Count”. In the year 2002, it was reported that, Lennox was offered $5 million by World Wresting Entertainment (WWE) chairman Vince McMahon to take wrestling in the industry. In the year 2003, he held group discussions with WWE superstar Brock Lesnar at the No Way Out pay per view event. In the year 2006, he appeared is in the movie Johny Was with Vinnie Jones.

In the year 1987, he was a super Heavyweight silver medalist at Pal American Games in Indianpolis and lost to Jorge Luis Gonzalez of Cuba in the final. Not only is this, he won the super heavyweight gold medal for Canada at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, South Korea.
