She is the founder of Vocal Group which is named as The Supremes. Apart from being the founder of Vocal group she is also the lead singer of that group. Diana Ross is the daughter of Ernestine Ross and Fred Ross. Ernestine Ross was the school teacher and Fred Ross was the soldier in United States army. Initially she used to spell her name as Diane but after the release of her first album she announced her name to be Diana. In her childhood she wanted to be a fashion designer. She wanted to study courses which are related to designing.

In year 1994 Ross fell in love with Berry Gordy. Berry Gordy was the Creative executive of Motown. Berry first saw Ross when she was giving auditions for Motown. He was going for a business meeting when he got to witness Ross’s music. He was highly impressed by Ross and asked her to perform again. Their affair lasted for many years. Ross even gave birth to the child of Berry Gordy. They named their eldest child as Rhonda Suzanne Silberstein. Her love story with Berry Gordy didn’t work and she got married to Robert Ellis Silberstein who is a music executive. Her marriage worked for few years and the couple got separated.

 

Career

At the age of 15 she started her career. She worked in a group named the Primes. She performed a lot for this group. After that she became a part of a very popular group named the Supremes. She was the founder of this group. In October 1981, Ross featured her album which was named as” Why do Fools Fall in Love”. The album got highly famous and she made millions of money through this album. After her success she even opened her own company for production which was named as Anaid Productions. She even hosted a TV show which featured Michael Jackson specifically. After opening her company she started investing in real estates. She even achieved some awards like Grammy lifetime achievement award and Kennedy Centre Honours.
