Larry Bird was born on 7^th December 1956. West Baden, Indiana is the birth place of Larry Bird. He is an American Basket ball player. His height is 6 feet 9 inches and his weight is 100 kg. He completed his graduation from Spring Valley school which is located in French Lick, Indiana. He completed his graduation from Indiana State. He is not just an NBA player but is also a coach. Currently he is the president of Indiana Pacers of NBA. He was said to be the league’s most valuable player. Three NBA championships were won by him. He was also awarded with two NBA Finals Most valuable player award. He is a focused man. In year 1992 he took retirement because of his chronic back problem. Later he joined 1992 United States men’s Olympic basket ball team. Along with this team he even won the gold medal in 1992 summer Olympics. In year 1996 people voted Larry for NBA’s 50^th Anniversary all time team. In year 1997 he joined Indiana Pacers and served as a coach. He maintained the position of coach for three years. Claude Joseph “Joe” Bird and Georgia were the parents of Larry. He had five siblings and his mother used to do two jobs to raise all her children. Larry says that poverty is the factor which encouraged him to move so high in his career. When Larry was in High School, his parents got separated. Larry has so many family problems in his childhood and to distract himself from all those problems he used to play basketball. He started his career in basketball from Spring Valley high school. In his childhood he scored 31 points and 21 rebounds.

In year 1994 he received a scholarship to play basketball for Indiana Hoosiers. For three consecutive years he worked with Sycamores. His experience with Sycamores was outstanding. He helped them reaching NCAA tournament. He is a very famous and multi-talented personality. His profession has given new heights to him.

He won the NBA Champion award three times in his career. Twice he was honored as NBA Finals MVP. He even won the most valuable player award for NBA. Twelve times he was tagged with the NBA All Star. He was also given John R. Wooden Award. He won many other precious awards like Naismith College player of the Year, AP National Player of the Year, NABC Player of the Year, and MVC player of the year, NBC Executive of the Year and NBC coach of Year.

In year 1989 he got to marry Dinah Mattingly. After their marriage they adopted two children. The names of their children are Mariah and Connor. A girl named Corrie is the biological Daughter Bird. She is the daughter of his first wife. He had five siblings named Mark, Mike, Eddie, Jeff, and Linda. he is one among the richest players of the world
