Sheryl Kara Sandberg was born on 28 August 1969. She was born in Washington, D.C. U.S. she is an American business woman. She was married to Brain Kraff and got divorced in the year 1994 and then she got married to David Goldberg in the year 2004 and has two children with Goldberg. Not only is this, she has received a number of awards and achievements for her work and is famous worldwide for her work at Facebook Company.

From August 2013, she was recruited as the chief operating officer of Facebook. Before entering into Facebook she was the Vice President of Global Online Sales and operations at Google. She was also involved on Google.org in launching Google’s philanthropic arm. And before working in Google she was the chief of staff for the United states Secretary of the Treasury.

Sheryl was born to the Jewish family and is a daughter of Adele, who has a PhD and worked as a French teacher and Joel Sandberg, who is an ophthalmologist and is oldest among her three siblings. When she was only two years old, her family moved to North Miami Beach, Florida. Talking about her education life. In the year 1987, Sheryl was enrolled at Harvard College and received summa cum laude with an A.B in economics in the year 1991. She was graduated with John H. Williams prize for the top graduating student in economics. During her study at the Harvard she met the professor Larry Summers who recruited her as his research assistant at the World Bank. The Harvard story is not over yet, she was enrolled in the Harvard Business School in the year 1993 and got MBA degree in 1995. Sheryl was married at the age of 24 to Brain and got divorced later. After that she got married to David who is the CEO of Survey Monkey.

In the year 2008, she was ranked on the number 34. Not only is this she was ranked on number 22 in the year 2009 and on number 16 in the year 2010. Apart from the Fortune magazine, she was ranked 19 on 50 “Women to watch” by the Wall Street Journal and later in the year 2008 she was ranked 21 on the same list. Sheryl after graduating from the business school started working as a management consultant for McKinskey and Company for one year (1995-1996) and then served as a chief of Staff to the United States Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers from 1996-2001. During this period she worked under President bill Clinton and helped the treasury’s work. In the year 2001 she joined the Google as a Vice President of Global Online sales and Operations till 2008.

Now talking about her role in Facebook, she met Mark Zuckerberg at the Christmas party in the year 2007 at the time she was considering to become a senior executive for the Washington Post Company. Mark Zuckerberg found her the perfect fit for the post of COO in the company. When she joined Facebook its profit increase a great deal and she managed everything well including sales, marketing, business development, human resources, public policy and communications.
