Rakim is a legendary Rapper from the Golden age hip hop days. His real name is William Michael Griffin Jr. He is one half of the famous Golden age Hip Hop Duo, Eric B. & Rakim. Dr. Dre was born on 18^th February 1965 in California. His birth name is Andre Romelle Young. He is not just a Record producer but is also a Rapper and an Entrepreneur. 50 cent is an American rapper, actor, investor and entrepreneur. With a net worth of $ 125 million, he is one of the richest figure in Hip Hop. He is also the front-man of the New York based Hip Hop group ‘G-unit’. 50 cent has sold more than 30 million albums world wide and has won numerous awards including a Grammy. His real name is Curtis Jackson III.

Early life

Jackson was born on July 6, 1975 in South Jamaica. His mother, Sabrina, was 15 year old when he was born. Jackson was raised solely by his mother. When he was 8 years old his mother passed away. He then lived with his Grand parents. At the age of 12, Jackson started selling drugs in the streets. He was accustomed with guns and drugs by the age of sixteen. He once got caught in school when they used Metal Detectors. Although Jackson admitted that he never used the drugs he used to sell. Jackson adopted the nickname 50 cent for a change. The name was inspired by a Brooklyn Robber, Kelvin Martin.

Dr. Dre and Eminem, highly impressed by 50 cent, decided to sign him to a $ 1 million dollar deal. 50 cent’s subsequent album Get rich or Die tryin‘ was declared 8 times platinum. It sold 872,000 copies in the first four days. 50 cent launched his own G-unit records shortly after that.

His subsequent project, The Massacre, was a successful venture as well selling 1.14 Million copies. Eminem’s real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III. He is the only child of Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr. and Deborah R. “Debbie” Nelson. His father left the family when he was 18 months old.
