Kevin George Knipfing aka Kevin James, born on April 26, 1965, is basically famous as an American actor and a producer. Not only this, he also earned a great success as a writer, and a comedian. Spike Lee, originally known as Shelton Jackson was born to Jacqueline Carroll, a teacher of arts and black literature, and William James Edward Lee, a jazz musician and composer on March 20, 1957. His popular name “Spike Lee” comes from his nickname given by his mother.

He had developed interest in the field of media quite early in life. Staying true to his interests and passion, Lee was making amateur films by age 20. His Early life:

Erving was born in Roosevelt, New York on February 22^nd, 1950. He was usually recognized as Dr. J in Roosevelt High School. In 1968, he joined the University of Massachusetts, where he played two seasons as a freshman and then left. Here he scored an average of 32.5 points in NCAA Men’s Basketball. In 1971, as a free agent, he joined ABA with the Squires. His interest was although in basketball only, but to fulfil his promise made to his mother, he completed his graduation in Administration in 1986.

Shifted from Virginia Squires to Atlanta Hawks:

Erving initially took a start with Virginia Squires and made a position in the team as a hard dunker.  He earned an average of 27.3 per game and led the formation of ABA All- Rookie Team. His game took the team to the Eastern Division Finals, but unfortunately they were defeated by Rick Barry belonging to New York Nets. After getting the green flag for NBA Draft in 1972, he was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks. But because of his dissatisfaction with the team he decided to be with Maravich and joined the training camp of Hawk’s. He enjoyed working with Atlanta during his practice season. But as Milwaukee took him so Atlanta was charged with the fine of $25,000 for each game. In 1972-1973 his contract with Squires got completed and he was moved to New York Nets.

Traded off to The Nets:

In 1986, he made an announcement of his retirement after completion of its current season. Erving belongs to Christian Community. He got married to Turquoise in 1972. But the couple got separated in 2003. Riley led the team to four consecutive NBA finals. During his tenure as a coach, the Los Angeles Lakers won the NBA championship, becoming the first team in 19 years to repeat as champions. Riley stepped down as the coach of the team after they lost to the Phoenix Suns in 1990. He was still named the NBA Coach of the Year.

After his stint with the Lakers Riley took up the job of television commentator, followed by the position of the head coach of the New York Knicks in 1991. He led the team to the best regular season records and was named the Coach of the Year for the second time. The team, although, lost in seven games in the NBA Finals in 1994. So Riley resigned from New York Knicks and joined the Miami Heat as their head coach.

Though his joining the Miami Heat stirred a round of controversy, it all got cleared later on. In 1997, Miami Heat defeated Riley’s old team New York Knicks and Riley became the Coach of the Year for the third time. Few years later in 2003, Riley again stepped down as the coach of The Heat and concentrated on his duties as the general manager, after he was disappointed with the team’s performance. However, he shocked everyone when he resumed his role as a coach in 2005. But he again decided to step down after the team’s miserable performance.

He again got severely injured while playing against the Portland Trail Blazers, but after the successful operation he again out for the season.
