Goodell involved himself in the Collective bargaining agreement between the NFLPA and NFL owners in 2011. He also played a lead role in the expansion and realignment of league, development of the stadium. He also secured new agreements on television and launched NFL Network.

Tough Competition for Commissioner:

Goodell was selected as a commissioner after the retirement of Paul Tagliabue. Paul formed a committee owned by Dan Rooney, who belonged to the Pittsburgh Steelers for the search of his successor. Goodell was in the list of five finalists, including Robert Reynolds, Mayo Shattuck III, Gregg Levy and Frederick Nance. In the first ballot, he was ahead of Levy but in the second and third ballot Goodell made a lead with 17-14 and in the fourth it made a score of 21-10. In the fifth ballot two owners swung their votes. And finally he was selected as the commissioner of the NFL in 2006 after Paul Tagliabue. His main duty being the commissioner of the NFL is to maintain the integrity of the game and protect the shield.

New policies launched by him:

In 2007, NFL Personal Conduct Policy came into existence after the scandal of NFL players off the field. Chris Henry and Pacman Jones were the two players who were suspended due to this new policy. A month later Tank Johnson was suspended due to weapon association and drunk driving. Goodell also suspended Dallas Cowboys and fined him $100,000. Rodney Harrison also captured due to the illegal of banned medical products. He also started a policy in which no misbehavior will be accepted in the field. He started charging fine for that and various players became a victim of this like James Harrison, Dunta Robinson etc. He emphasizes more on the safe techniques to play the game. This attitude was criticized by various players and they felt that he was making wrong use of his power and trying to impose his decision over them. In 2007, he became a danger for New England Patriots after the illegal work done them of making a video tape of the signals. He firstly decided to suspend Bill Belichick, but then he thought charging fine of $250,000 would be more effective than the suspension.

In 2012, Goodell came across New Orleans Saints in which Saints players were paid bonuses after knocking opposite players out of the game. Jimmy was born on July 16th, 1943 in Port Arthur, Texas. He completed his graduation from Thomas Jefferson High School and took his degree from the University of Arkansas. In this university, he became a part of local football team, which included various high personalities from this background such as Ken Hatfield, Jim Lindsey etc. This team included all the shining stars that became head coaches for the national team afterwards. • University of Miami: Replacing Miami’s former coach Howard Schnellenberger Johnson took the responsibility of the team in his hand. During his reign he gave full freedom to his players where they were allowed to show their talent in each and every field. During the tenure of Don, Miami had a very low expectation year (1995) so they all were happy to find Johnson as his replacement.  But his winning percentage was only 55.3%, which was lower than Don Shula. In 1999, he gave his resignation letter from Miami but after one day he again took back that position.

His Early life:

Erving was born in Roosevelt, New York on February 22^nd, 1950. He was usually recognized as Dr. J in Roosevelt High School. In 1968, he joined the University of Massachusetts, where he played two seasons as a freshman and then left. Here he scored an average of 32.5 points in NCAA Men’s Basketball. In 1971, as a free agent, he joined ABA with the Squires. His interest was although in basketball only, but to fulfil his promise made to his mother, he completed his graduation in Administration in 1986.

Shifted from Virginia Squires to Atlanta Hawks:

Erving initially took a start with Virginia Squires and made a position in the team as a hard dunker.  He earned an average of 27.3 per game and led the formation of ABA All- Rookie Team. His game took the team to the Eastern Division Finals, but unfortunately they were defeated by Rick Barry belonging to New York Nets. After getting the green flag for NBA Draft in 1972, he was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks. But because of his dissatisfaction with the team he decided to be with Maravich and joined the training camp of Hawk’s. He enjoyed working with Atlanta during his practice season. Traded off to The Nets:
