Alice Louise Walton was born on 7 October 1949 in Newport, Arkansas. She is an American heiress to the fortune of Walmart Stores Inc. she is the second richest woman in the US and tenth richest American. A woman with endless amount of fortune to spend, Alice Walton has always been a major topic of interest to the Americans, who despise the Wal Mart family as much as they love their stores. This has been a positive force in terms of bringing down the cost of living for poor Americans. Alice Walton has founded the 160 acre Camp War Eagle in Bentonville’s outskirts which is a place for campers who belong to different socioeconomic strata and races and receive scholarships. Alice is a daughter of Sam Walton, who is the founder Wal-Mart and Helen Walton. She is the youngest of the siblings. Alice graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Also, she has done BA in economics and finance. From the very first, she has begun her career in finance as an equity and money manager for First Commerce Cooperation and also served as the Vice chairperson and head of all investment bank engaged in corporate finance, public and structured finance. Not only is this, she served as the President, Chairperson and CEO. Also she was a broker of E.F Hutton. Moreover, she was the chairperson and driving force behind the Northwest Arkansas Council which played a major role in securing development of the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport. In the year 2001, Alice was inducted into the Arkansas Aviation Hall of Fame.

Moving over to her Personal life she has faced three automobile accidents and in the year 1983, during a thanksgiving event she lost control of a rented jeep and plunged onto ravine. In the year 1998, it was reported that, she lit a gas meter while driving under the influence and paid $925 fine in jail. In the year 2011, on her birthday, she was arrested again for driving while intoxicated in in Weatherford, Texas, after a dinner with friends in Fort Worth. Talking about her married life, at the age of 24, she got married to a Louisiana investment banker and later get divorced after 2 and half year. After this, she got married to a contractor who made her a swimming pool but that too relationship does not lasted long. Her brother, John T Walton died in the year 2005 in a plane crash. It is reported that, she is the 13th richest person in the world and lived an extremely luxurious life it was out by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index that her net worth is $33.9 billion. Talking about her other collectibles, is the landscape “Kindred Spirits” which is grafted by Asher B. Durand. Alice Walton has a flair for collecting valuable art pieces from some of the world famous artist like Edward Hopper, George Bellows, Winslow Homer, Charles Wilson Peale and Marsden Hartley.
