Brook Shield is a famous actress from America. She was a child model in her earlier days. She received massive popularity after her depiction of the role of a child prostitute in the movie, Pretty Baby. The role gave her massive recognition. She then starred in Blue Lagoon and Endless love in 1981. She then left her career to complete her bachelor degree from Princeton University. She graduated in French Literature. Brook Shields was born on 31 May, 1965, in New York City. Brook’s father paid her mother some amount to terminate her pregnancy. Though, she took the amount and continued to keep the baby in her womb. Her parents got a divorce when she was 5 Months old. When she was 5 days old, her mother decided to make her an actress. She studied in New Lincoln School till High School. She pursued a graduation degree in French literature from Princeton University. She released her autobiography, On your Own, in 1985. She began modeling when she was merely 11 months old. She continued her career as a child model. It was a  great career. At 14 years old, Brook became the youngest model to be featured on the cover of Vogue. She then appeared in some controversial advertisements for Calvin Klein. At the age of 16, Brook became a recognizable mainstream figure. Her controversial role in the movie, Pretty Baby, gave her massive attention. She then starred in the movie Blue Lagoon. Blue Lagoon received an acclaim by the critics and was a mainstream success. In 1981, she starred in Endless Love. The movie was X rated but later a few scenes were edited and it was made R rated. In 1988, In the Misadventures of Margaret, she played the role of a Lesbian.

Shields has acted in Television shows as well. In 1980, she acted in the TV show, The Muppet Show. She appeared in an episode of FRIENDS as Joey’s stalker. She then appeared in the TV Show Suddenly Susan from 1996 to 2000. She made a few guest appearances in that 70s show. She appeared in Two and a Half men as well. She played the role of Miley’s deceased mother in Hannah Montana. In 2008, she acted in the drama series, Lipstick Jungle. She made guest appearances in the TV series, The Middle.

PERSONAL LIFE

Brook Shield stated in an interview that she lost her virginity at the age of 22. She was married to Andre Agassi from 1977-1999. The couple were together since 1993. She is a vegan and an animal right activist. She married a television writer Chris Henchy in 2001. She has 2 daughters with him. Brook Shield suffered from Postpartum depression but came out of it with her will power and dedication. She explained about it in her book, Down came the rain. She was close friends with Michael Jackson as a teenager and the two dated for a short time.
