INTRODUCTION

Jenna Mourey who is most commonly known as Jenna Marbles, was born on September 15, 1986. She was born and raised in Rochester, New York and later moved to Boston for her college education. She gained popularity when she posted her YouTube video entitled, “How To Trick People Into Thinking You’re Good Looking”. It went viral and had an astounding 5.3 million views within its first week online.

Jenna graduated in high school from Brighton High School in Rochester, New York. To pursue her college education, she moved to Boston and attended Suffolk University. Marbles played softball during her college days at Suffolk. She made her first appearance on the mound as a college pitcher and was named Team Captain in 2007.

VLOGGING CAREER:

Jenna started her vlogging career in 2010. Her video about how to trick people into thinking that you’re good looking is what skyrocketed her popularity. The said video now has 62 million plus views. In addition to that, her video tutorial entitled, “How To Avoid Talking To People You Don’t Want To Talk To” has been featured in The New York Times and ABC News articles back in 2011.

People enjoy watching Jenna’s vids because she has a great sense of humor, a solid perspective of reality, a wide range of sarcastic vocabulary and is a real hot chick who’s not full of herself. She was able to capture the nation’s attention just by being herself and being real. This is supported by her strong 15.3 million subscribers in her YouTube channel and her 1.8 billion video views.

Marbles has also made appearances on TV. She was in the season four of the TV series Ridiculousness. Aside from that, she has appeared in various YouTube video series like Epic Rap Battles of History and the Annoying Orange.

Despite her probably often packed schedule, Jenna is still able to find time for her personal life. She hangs out with her boyfriend, Julien Solomita, pretty often. They both like making videos so they created the Jenna and Julien Podcast YouTube channel, where they do podcastings. The said channel now has 50 videos and 130,698 subscribers.

Other projects:

Her love for her two dogs, who almost always appeared on her vlogs is surely the reason why she released a brand of dog toys. She named the brand Kermie Worm and Mr. Marbles, which are her dogs’ names.

Also, the toys’ appearances are based on her real dogs looks. Of course.

And as if all that’s still not enough, she is also the host of the weekly pop countdown in YouTube 15!

No wonder people are asking why she’s only listed under $2.5 million when clearly, she’s worth more. There is even a news going around that she actually makes $4 million a year.

Awards and Achievements:

In 2015, Marbles won the YouTube Comedian title at the Shorty Awards. She was nominated for the Comedy and Entertainer of the Year category, and was hailed the winner of the First Person category at the 4th Annual Streamy Awards in 2014.

I think Jenna Marbles’ biggest achievement is when the renowned Madame Tussauds museum recently announced that they have been working on her wax figure since this summer started.

Jenna Marbles will be the first female YouTube star to get a wax figure. But that’s not all. She will also be the first wax figure in the museum’s collection to be posed like she’s taking a selfie.
