Born on May 10th, 1978 Thompson grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born to Elizabeth Ann Thompson and Fletcher. He has only one sibling named Kevin. Kenan had soon built up an image as a comedy star on the small screen. He now boosted up by the appreciation from the fan following and decided to move towards something big. So in 1995, here came a chance for him in the Nickelodeon’s comedy show All That. He took part in its auditions and got selected. This show featured the entire children cast member. He soon set his image as a teenager comedian after getting into this show. Here while working for this show he met his best friend Kel Mitchell. He was an African comedian and it was a somewhat weird combination of American-African comedian. They both worked hard for the very first season of this show as it was a very different role for both of them. This Nickelodeon’s show became a hit on the small screen and also cemented the relationship of this weird combo. And it was confirmed that this couple would surely have their own show in the near future. After working for this show they both were nominated for various big awards and finally in 1998 they entitled to Kid’s Choice Award for Television show.
Saturday Night Live:
This success continued to be in his arms after he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 2003. Kenan and Kel both took part in its audition, but only Kenan got selected. He spent half of his career on this show, i.e. A period of ten years. He had made a record for continuing being a cast member on one show after Tim Meadows. He was the senior cast member along with Armisen and Seth Meyers. Saturday Night Live was the late night Television comedy show. Thompson once in his interview said that in this show they are like free bird and can do any type of comedy stuff that they want to while in All That show they were bound to the script that was given to them. In this show they had to write their own script, otherwise they end up playing the role of someone’s daughters etc. This had made him more creative and left a great impression on the mind of viewers. He worked on this show for more than eight seasons.

After quitting Nickelodeon’s show ‘All That’ he took the transition from small screen to the big screen. He wanted himself to be launched in films. In 2000, he appeared in Rocky and Bullwinkle followed by Love Don’t Cost a Thing in 2003 which was further followed by Barbershop 2 in 2004. In 2004, his dream came true, he got the opportunity to work with his idol Bill Cosby in the movie Adaptation produced by Fat Albert. In 2006, he was launched in Snakes on a Plane. In 2012, he started producing his own show with TV producer Lorne Michaels. In 2000, the couple Kenan and Kel together worked for a movie named Two Heads are better than One. He was also starred in The Steve Harvey show, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Sister and The Parkers and Sister.
