Adam Lambert’s presence while he was on the American Idol, eighth season. Various albums by Lambert include For Your Entertainment, Trespassing and a few others. He made history when for the first time, a musician who topped the Billboard 200 declared himself gay, without any apprehension. Lambert was born in Indianapolis to parents Leila and Eber Lambert, in the year 1982. From the tender age of nine, Lambert started his journey into the music industry, by taking baby step, one at a time. He started by performing at the MET2 and Broadwat Bound Youth Theatre Foundation. This happened when the family moved to San Diego, California. He also appeared in some local productions including You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown and Fiddler on the Roof. Over the years, his interest in both acting and vocals developed. He attended California State University, Fullerton, in the year 2000. But, he quit after only five weeks. He took a major risk for his career, which thankfully proved to be in his favor.


Lambert was a very early bloomer. He got his first job at the age of 19. The job entailed him performing at a cruise ship for a period of ten months. Following that stunt, he performed in light opera in the Orange County. When he was only 21, he was cast in a tour of Hair that had to take place in Europe. This tour really helped Lambert in getting to know himself. In the year 2004, he appeared in a few local productions like Brigadoon and 110 in the Shade. During this phase as well, he wasn’t really well known, even though he did get a lot of praise for his acting in the various productions in which he was involved. Lambert’s career sort of twisted for the good when he decided to appear for an audition of the eighth season of the American Idol series.

American Idol seriously changed him as a person and also, as an artist- a musician. The show also got him a lot of fame and success. For his initial audition, he performed on the songs Bohemian Rhapsody and Rock With You. During the competition itself, several pictures were leaked of Lambert kissing a man. When he was asked about the same, he openly said that he was gay and that he had always been pretty straight forward about it. The pictures made him even more famous, but did not affect the competition that much.

The first album released by him was titled For Your Entertainment. The album was a raging success. Lambert has also worked in collaboration with a lot of other musicians like Pink, Justin Hawkins, Linda Perry and so on. In his career, Lambert has been open to a lot of different things. He has even appeared on the cover of magazine like Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone and so on. Lambert’s second album was titled Trespassing, in the year 2012. The album was a commercial as well as critical success and it was placed at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. He has hosted a few concerts. He has even gotten back to American Idol as a mentor to a contestant for an episode.

A lot of Lambert’s colleagues have nothing but praise for his voice. He had worked hard on it practically his entire life. He has a very high vocal range. It is simply amazing to hear him live. There is no better experience! Lambert has a very strong voice and is the best popular music singer in the entire world after Freddie Mercury.

Lambert is known for the details in his appearance. His look is very extravagant and flamboyant. He has even made three fashion related appearances. He has been on the cover page of a lot of magazines. Lambert is free and bold. He says that the first time he listened to the 1970s music, he developed an instant attraction for musicians like Madonna, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin and a few others.


Lambert has a heart of gold. He really believes in giving back to the community. He has donated $1,000,000 as of year 2011. Lambert asks his fans to donate to an online charity called The charity helped individuals financially who studied music and arts. Lambert has also been a regular contributor to MusiCares charity. He has even raised money for fighting environmental causes and bringing out awareness. He even performed at Royal Albert Hall, in 2012. Lambert was the musical entertainer for Make A Wish Foundation in South Florida. The event raised a fabulous $12 million. He is also a social activist and strongly stands for LGBT rights.
