Andre 3000 is an American Rapper, song writer and actor. He was a part of the legendary Hip-Hop duo, The Outcast. He has acted in various television series and films such as Families, The Shield, Be Cool, Revolver, Semi-Pro, Four Brothers. Andre 3000 is a African-American and Native American descent. He teamed up with his high-school buddy, Big Boi, and they formed the Hip-Hop duo named, The Outcast. Soon as they completed their High school, they were signed by the Atlanta-based LaFace recording to launch their first album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik. The album reached a platinum status in 1994 and duo was named the best new Hip Hop group by the Source magazine. Their next 2 albums, ATLiens and Aquemini, were massively successful as well. In their fourth album, Stankonia, Andre changed his name from Dre to Andre 3000. It was a huge hit among the fans. The exuberant single, ”Ms. Jackson”, reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. He released a greatest hits album, Big Boi and Dre Present… OutKast, in 2002. It was vividly appreciated and even won a Grammy for the, Best hip Hop song by a group. André 3000 was mentioned on the song “Till I Collapse” by Eminem, who regarded him as one of the best rappers ever. Outkast released Speakerboxxx/The Love Below which was a huge success. In 2014 it was revealed that Outcast will be celebrating its 20th Aniversary by performing at various festivals throughout the year. As a solo artist Andre 3000, has collaborated with many artists. He took a break from rapping and then returned in 2007 featuring in many songs such as ”Walk It Out”, “Throw Some D’s”, “You” and Jay-Z’s “30 Something.” He also featured on John Legend’s album Evolver, on the song “Green Light”, released on October 28, 2008. Before it’s release release, Andre said: “It’s going to be a surprise for a lot of John Legend fans, because it is a lot more upbeat than John is—than people think John is. I was actually happy to hear it. This is a cool John Legend song.” Benjamin rapped along with Jay-Z on Young Jeezy’s track “I Do”, released on January 10, 2012. Benjamin was featured on the song “Farrah Fawcett Hair” when Capital Cities released their debut album In a Tidal Wave of Mystery.
