Comedy is in genes of Ben Stiller, and it is not surprising that he followed in his family’s foot steps. His parents made no real effort to keep him away from the Hollywood lifestyle and like any other star kid, he grew up among the stars. He then worked on ” Elvis stories” a short fiction film focused on Elvis Presley. The film was considered a success and allowed him to develop another film called “Back to brooklyn” for Mtv. The makers at MTv were so much impressed by stiller’s work that they offered him his own show, ” The Ben Stiller Show”, although the show got canceled after its first season the popularity of it let to another show ” The Ben Stiller Show” for Fox network in the year 1992. Throughout its run period the show appeared at the bottom of the ratings, but eventually managed to win Emmy Award for outstanding Writing in a variety or Music program.
Stiller appeared as cameo in films such as “stella, highway to hell” and “the nutt house” during the early 1990s. He devoted all his time to directing “Reality Bites”.now a cult classic which is looked upon favorably by the generation it depicted. Ben continued to work steadily for a time, particularly in independent productions where he was more at ease. However, he never quite managed to catch a big break. In 2004 stiller appeared in six films, which includes, “DodgeBall: A True Underdog story”, “Anchroman”, “Along came Polly”, “Meet the Fockers”, “starky and Hutch” and “Envy”. While his biggest flop “envy only grossed $14.5million Worldwide, “Meet the fockers” grossed over $500million worldwide the same year making it the biggest hit of his career. In 2013 Stiller directed, Produced and starred In ” The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty”.
