Chad Johnson legally changed his surname to Ochosinco in August 2008. Both Jackson’s parents were not really consistent figures in his life. His father’s name was Sam and his mother’s name was Paula Johnson. Chad did not really know anything about his father except his name. He still calls Bessie his mom as his real mother Paula could not look after hi at all even though she just lived a few blocks away. Johnson was chosen by the Cincinnati bengal’s in the second round of the 2001 NFL season.In his debut season chad was an average player,catching 28 passes for 329 yards and just one touchdown.But chad slowly improved,in 2003, he set a record for the bengal’s by recording 1355 receiving yards.And in 2004 he caught 95 passes for 9 touchdowns and played a very vital role in bengal’s win over Cleveland brown.

Chad made his first entry on the big stage by signing a contract with the new England patriots.He restructed the contract for 3 years for $6.35 millions.Ochocinco had the least productive season of his career by catching just 15 passes for 276 yards and just 1 touchdown.
