He brought Yellow Springs residents to Brooklyn at his own expense. Another surprising highlight of the event was the (temporary) reunion of popular 1990s hip-hop group The Fugees.
Chappelle toured several cities in February and March 2006 to promote the film under the name “Block Party All-Stars featuring Dave Chappelle”. The film was released in the U.S. on March 3, 2006. It was successful and had a gross total of $11.7 million on a $3 million budget.

Chappelle also has a stepmother and a stepbrother.He was very young when his parents got divorced. He had spend most of his time with his mom.
Chappelle was married in the year 2001 to Elaine Mendoza Erfe, who is an Filipino descendent. He has two sons named Sulayman and Ibrahim Chappelle and a daughter named Sonal Chappelle and lives in Yellow Springs. It is a village in Greene country, Ohio, United States. After the successful run of the show Comdey central show for two seasons, when the 3rd season was scheduled, Chappelle left the show and went to South Africa. After that he did performance in Los Angeles, went on a tour to Newport and he kept on touring and performing.
After his flight to South Africa, where he stayed with a friend, rumors raged about drug abuse, mental instability and problems with the network. The only one of those things that seemed supported by his behavior were the creative struggles with Comedy Central. Yet in an interview with TIME the comedian refused to blame the show’s producers.
Recently in August 2013 he returned on the stage to celebrate Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival which was sponsored by Funny or Die, but he had to walk off the stage because when he tried to address the audience he was heckled down. Following this he stopped his performance in Chicago also.
