The start
Dwayne Johnson started his career with college football in the University of Miami where he was on the national championship team. He took forward his football skills by playing for the Calgary Stampeders in the Canadian Football League. But he was cut early in the first season and decided to follow the footsteps of his father, Rocky Johnson, and grandfather, Peter Maivia. Both of them were professional wrestlers which motivated Dwayne to use his natural instincts as a wrestler.

In year 1996 Dwayne made his World Wrestling federation (WWF) debut by the name of Rock Maivia which is a combination of his father’s and grandfather’s ring names. Dwayne’s wrestling career in WWF lasted till 2004 after which he retired from the wrestling world. Dwayne Johnson met Dany Garcia in Miami and later married her on 3rd May 1997. With her wife, Dwayne had a daughter Simone Alexandra Johnson on 14th August 2001. Later in 2007 on 1st June the couple ended their 10 years of marriage but announced to stay best friends for the rest of their lives. Dwayne is good friends with actor and former Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Acting career
Dwayne Johnson made a short appearance in The Mummy Returns and in 2002 made a proper debut as the leading actor in The Scorpion King for which he received $5.5 million. This made him the highest paid actor for his first starring role and Dwayne got listed in 2007 Guinness Book of World Records. Since then Dwayne Johnson has worked in many successful movies including The Rundown, Be Cool, Walking Tall, Gridiron Gang, The Game Plan, Get Smart, Race to Witch Mountain, Planet 51, Tooth Fairy, Doom, The Other Guys, Faster, Fast Five, and Fast & Furious 6.
