Jeff Foxworthy was born on September 6, 1958 in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S. his birth name was Jeffrey Marshall Foxworthy. He married to Pamela Gregg in the year 1985 and has two children. He is an American stand-up comedian actor, television and radio personality. Not only is this he an author, voice artist and comedian also. He is a member of a comedy troupe, Blue Collar Comedy Tour and is known for his “You might be a redneck”. Jeff wrote various kinds of books and wrote several books specifically on redneck jokes. Early life

His father was Jimmy Abstance Foxworthy who was an IBM executive and the mother, Carole Linda Foxworthy. His grandfather was fireman. He was raised in Baptist tradition. He was graduated from Hapeville High School and Georgia Tech in Atlanta. He worked in IBM for five years in mainframe computer maintenance and later entered and won the Great Southeastern Laugh-off at Atlanta’s punchline comedy club in the year 1984 and this where his career change the direction.

Comedy Albums

His several albums are out in the market and Jeff have received a number of awards and appreciation for his work. In the year 1990, he received an American Comedy Award for the “Best Stand-Up Comic” category. In the year 1993, he released the album, “You Might Be a Redneck” which topped the comedy album charts. More than three million copies of the album “Redneck” are sold. In the year 1995, he released “Games Rednecks Play” which received Grammy nomination for “Best Spoken Comedy” in the year 1996. In the year 1998, his album “Totally Committed” was released and later in the year 1999 it received a Grammy nomination and not only had this it’s CD received a “Gold” status. In the year 2001, at the 43^rd Annual Grammys, he received a nomination for “Best Spoken Comedy Album”.

Television

In the year 1995, he starred the Jeff Foxworthy Show which aired on the channel ABC later after one season it was discarded by ABC and picked up by NBC. Later his next series Nick at Nite and CMT was aired in 2005 and 2006. He not only appeared in the series but also hosted the Country’s weekly “TNN” music city news Country Awards show for 1998, 1999 and 2000. Currently he is host of The Bucks of Tecomate which airs on the channel NBC Sports Network. He is a investor in the episodes of Shark Tank. In 2004, Jeff Foxworthy launched a television series called Blue collar TV on the WB Television Network, Comedy Central and Comedy Network and he served as an executive officer. Apart from this, he wrote several books Jeff Foxworthy’s Redneck Dictionary: Words you thought you Knew the meaning in the year 2005, Jeff Foxworthy’s Redneck Dictionary 2: More Words You Thought You Knew the meaning Of in the year 2006 and Jeff Foxworthy’s Redneck Dictionary 3: Learning to talk More Gooder Fastly which was released on 30 October 2007 and the last one Rednecks in College. Not only this he also released the books on children Dirt On My Shirt in the year 2008 and Silly Street in the year 2009.

Talking about his radio work Jeff began The Foxworthy Countdown which is a nationally syndicated weekly radio show which late was featured on the top 30 country’s hits.
