Catherine Elizabeth Middleton was born at Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading on 09 January 1982.She has two siblings James and Philippa better known as Pippa Middleton. In 1987, her parents Carole and Michael Middleton founded a private venture Party Pieces apparently a mail order company that sells party supplies and decorations. Its estimated worth is $ 50 million.

She went to St. Andrews Prep School and Down House. She attended Marlborough College in Wiltshire where she studied chemistry,biology and art at A- level  and left it in July 2000.In 2001 she enrolled at University of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland and graduated MA (2:1 Hons) in the History of Art in 2005.

In November 2006, Middleton was finally appointed  as an assistant accessories buyer in the British clothing chain Jigsaw in London. But later on it was reported that she left the company in order to study portrait photography.

 

In 2010, it was revealed that Middleton had been working on plans to start a new bakery business with her brother, James, who ran The Cake Kit Company. The business had the goal of encouraging kids to cook and making it easier to bake party cakes.But she didn’t do so due to some personal problem.

RELATIONSHIP WITH PRINCE WILLIAM OF WALES

In 2001, Middleton became a student at the University of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland.While in her first year at the university, Middleton was placed in the dormitory St. Salvators Hall—the same building as then Prince William of Wales. The couple began dating in the early 2002 and kept it  secret.But in 2004, Kate was caught by paparazzi while on a royal family ski trip. In February 2006, it was announced that Middleton would receive her own 24-hour security detail from the Royalty and Diplomatic Protection Department.

In April 2007 Prince William and Middleton broke up. The couple decided to break up during a holiday in the Swiss.

After sometime the couple were  seen together  on a number of occasions and news sources stated that they had “rekindled their relationship”.They further carried on together happily.

FROM COMMONER TO ROYAL

 

On November 16, 2010, Middleton and Prince William announced their engagement to the pulic. The prince proposed during a vacation to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya, he presented Kate the engagement ring that had belonged to his late mother Diana,Princess of Wales.

On December 3,2012 St. James Palace officially announced that Kate Middleton was pregnant as on the same day of the announcement, Middleton with Prince William  was hospitalized at King Edward VII hospital in London with acute morning sickness. On 14 January 2013, St James’s Palace announced that the child was due to be born in July 2013.

The Duchess was admitted to St Mary’s Hospital in London in the early stages of labour on  22 July 2013, and gave birth to a baby boy. On 24 July 2013, Kensington Palace announced that the baby would be named George Alexander Louis.
