Talking about the history of the Mercedes Benz, the gredit goes to Karl Benz who created the first petrol-powered car, the Benz Patent Motorwagen which was financed by Bertha Benz. Theis car was patented in the year 1886. The Mercedes automobile was marketed in the year 1901 by Daimler-Motoren-Gesellscahft. Not only is this the first Mercedes brand name vehicle was put down in the market in the year 1926. During the Germany Nazi’s period in 1930’s a total of 770 models were introduced in the market and it became so popular that every rich and middle class family wants it. Mercedes-AMG: in the year 1999 Mercedes-AMG became the majority owned division of Mercedes Benz. It was integrated into Dailmler Chrysler in the same year and became the oart of Mercedes Benz in on Janaury 1, 1999.
Mercede-Benz Mclaren: Mclaren cars produced sports car along with Mercedes banz during the period 2003 and 2009. The very recent edition which is famous worldwide is the xtension of both, Mercedes-Benz SLR Mclaren. The formula one racing cars use the engines of Mercedes extension. Mclaren MP4-12C was launched in the year 2011. Also the recent new 650S has been created with 641 bhp (break horsepower) and the top speed of 207 miles per hour.
Maybach: the ultra-luxury brand Maybach was the division of Mercedes till the year 2003 and after that its production stopped due to the poor sales volume.

Nomenclature
In the year 1994, it was decided that the Mercedes will use the alphanumeric system for categorizing the vehicles of the brand and hence they use the alphabetic letters at the start if the name of the sedans and the divisions. These alphabetical style depicts the body style and engine types as follows: “C” denote the coupe or cabriolet body style, “D” denotes the vehicle which is equipped with a diesel engine. The letter “E” is used for “Einspritzung” which indicates the vehicle’s engine is equipped with petrol fuel injection. Other ways to remind is that if neither the “E” nor “D” is present than the vehicle has a petrol engine with a carburetor. The letter “G” stands for Gelandewagen off-road vehicle, “K ” indicates the supercharger equipped engine, this “k” letter was introduced in the 1930s. “L” is for two “Leicht”indicates lightweight sporting models and “Lang” for long wheelbase for the sedan models, “R” for racing, or used for the racing cars. The model with “S” indicates special class for flagship models and the last one “T”, which indicates “touring” and estate body style.

In the year 2013 Mercedes Benz E Class wins the 2013 ET ZigWheels Luxury Car of the year award. Luxurious is in the blood of the owner of Mercedes and when it was a first drive of Mercedes Benz SLK 55 AMG first drive, it got 8.5 rating out of 10. And for the Mercedes Benz S Class it got 9.5 rating out of 10. In the year 2012, Mercedes Benz wins world Green Car award for its S250 CDI blue efficiency.
