That describes this lass from Ukraine the best. Milena Markovna Kunis was born on August 14, 1983 and moved to Los Angeles from the Soviet Union in 1991, at the age of seven, with her family. She was enrolled into acting classes as an extracurricular activity and soon she realized her passion for the art. She appeared in several television series and commercials, starting from the age of nine. But she first gained popularity right before her fifteenth birthday for the role of Jackie Burkhart on “That ‘70s Show”. She was a part of the show till the show completed its 200 episodes in 2006.

Born in Chernivitsi in Ukraine to mother Elvira, who was a Physics teacher and runs a pharmacy and father Mark Kunis, a mechanical engineer who worked as a cab driver. They moved to Los Angeles because her parents saw no future for her and her brother there. All they had were $250 at that time. She knew not a word of English when she joined school in LA and her best friend helped her to learn English.

Her breakthrough in That 70s Show came when she was just 14. All the others who had come for audition were at least 18 or above, that was the ground rule. She did tell the producers she would be 14 soon, but even after the producers found out, they thought she was the best fit for the role and no one could have played that part better than her. The show ran for eight seasons and also won her two consecutive Young Star Awards.
In 2001, she appeared in Get Over It starring opposite Kirsten Dunst followed by the role in the straight-to-DVD horror film, American Psycho 2, alongside William Shatner. This film was widely criticized. Also her role in the film adaption of Toy n’ Tina’s Wedding did no good to her career.
With the 2008 film Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which she landed by chance while auditioning for some other film, was a commercial success and grossed $105 million worldwide and her performance was appreciated by one and all. She was nominated for the Teen Choice Award. Later in 2008, she portrayed Mona Sax, an assassin in the film Max Payne which was based on the Max Payne video game. The film made $85 million worldwide.
