Patrick Dempsey was born in Maine, in the year 1966, to the proud parents Amanda and William. He went to Buckfield High School and St. Dominic Regional High School. He was good at skiing, juggling and was diagnosed dyslexic at the tender age of 12. He says that being dyslexic was something that really motivated him to work even harder in life. Dempsey was found by an invitation to audition for a role in the stage production of Torch Song Trilogy. Subsequently, he spent the next four months touring with the company in Philadelphia. After a few more projects, Dempsey appeared as a major role in a movie when he was around 21 years old. The movie was titled In The Mood. After this movie, he did a teenage comedy Can’t Buy Me Love. His next project called Some Girls was a flop. Following this, he did the movies Loverboy and Happy Together.

Dempsey has been a part of a number of endorsements and television shows. He appeared in series like The Player, About A Boy, Mobsters, Will & Grace. PERSONAL LIFE
Dempsey is dyslexic and he was diagnosed with it when he was only 12 years old. In both 2005 and 2006, People magazine ranked him second in its annual list of “Sexiest Men Alive”. He has had his fair share of relationships and has been married twice. His first wife was Rochelle Parker. They tied the knot in 1987 and got divorced in 1994. After that, Dempsey married his second wife, Jillian Fink, in the year 1999. The couple has been blessed with three lovely children: Tallulah Fyfe, and the twins Sullivan Patrick and Darby Galen.
Dempsey draws energy from personal experiences. His mother died of ovarian cancer in 2014. Dempsey established the Patrick Dempsey Center at Central Maine Medical Centre. The center aims at raising money for treating the needy. The money is collected via cycle race known as the Dempsey Challenge.
