CAREER
As discussed above, Gosling stepped into the acting industry at a very tender age with the Mickey Mouse Club. After doing a certain number of other family entertainment programs, he shifted his area of interest from acting on television to acting on the big screen.
Gosling came to notice in an instant with the release of The Notebook, a romantic movie, in which Gosling plays the heartfelt character of the lovestruck Noah. The entire world fell in love with both the film and his acting at that very moment! From that point, his career just took off. In 2007, he was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
In 2010, he co-starred with Michelle Williams in a movie called Blue Valentine which had him nominated for a Golden Globe. All of us know about the three movies he starred in, in 2011. Crazy, Stupid, Love, Drive and The Idea of March. All these films got him a lot of recognition for his work. Some of it was good, some of it was not so good.
In 2013, Gosling starred in the violent revenge drama Only God Forgives.

Gosling has a huge heart and he believes in giving back to the community. He supports various social causes. He has worked with PETA on a campaign to encourage KFC and McDonald’s to use improved methods of chicken slaughter in their factories. He volunteered in Biloxi, Mississippi in 2005, as a part of the clean up effort that followed Hurricane Katrina.
Gosling is a supporter of Invisible Children Inc, a group that aims at raising awareness about the LRA in Central Africa. He is also a speaker at Campus Progress’ National Conference in 2008 where he discussed Darfur.

Gosling currently resides in New York City with his pet dog, George. He dated Sandra Bullock in 2002, Rachel McAdams till mid-2007 and model Eva Mendes in September 2011.

- Ryan is a true artist for not only does he play his part in all our favorite movies, he also plays the jazz guitar and piano as well as sings in indie rock band Dead Man’s Bones! The group released their first music video in December 2008 for their song, “In The Room Where You Sleep.”
