Early life
Combs was born on November 4, 1969 in the new York city. He dropped out of the Harvard University in 1989 and worked in the Uptown records for 5 years. He formed his own record label, The Bad boys records, in 1993. He signed the then-newcomer The Notorious B.I.G. to the label and launched the multi-platinum selling album Ready to Die . The album was the 3rd highest selling album of 1997. The single ‘ I’ll be missing you’ which was a tribute to Biggie was an instant hit and topped the billboard charts. The album won a Grammy for the Best Rap album. Forever, Combs next album in 1999 was a commercial success as well. In 2001 Combs changed his stage name from ‘ Puff daddy’ to ‘ P Diddy’. He then formed his own rap group in 2010 with name Diddy Dirty money which was critically acclaimed.

He was actively involved in the Making the Band series. Also, he started his own reality show named I want to work for Diddy in 2008.
