Thomas James Kenny was born on 13 July, 1962 in Syracuse, New York, US. He is an American actor, comedian and singer. His acting is famous all over the world. He is best known for his long-running role as Sponge Bob Square Pants series. Not only is this, he voiced various other characterslike Heffer Wolfe in Rocko’s Modern Life who was the Mayor and the narrator in The Powerpuff Gilrls, and Eudardo in Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, Rabbit in Winnie the Pooh and Spyro. Apart from this, when he was young he was into comic books, drawing funny pictures and also collecting records. Talking about his comedy roles, he turned to stand up in in Boston and San Francisco. He is always regular on Fox TVs The Edge in the year 1992 and also spent a year on NBC’s Friday Night in the year 1983.



In the late 1960s and 70s, when he was young he loved drawing very much. Talking about his education, he attended the Bishop Grimes High School located in Syracase. He was friend with Bobcat Goldthwait who together appeared in films that was directed and starred in Shakes the Clown and World’s Greatest Dad. Talking about the live-action segments, he appeared in Sponge Bob Square Pants as Patchy the Pirate and also R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour and on Uncle Howee which is a high-energy kid’s show host with strange powers. Not only is this, he also did voice acting for a long time. Tom has voiced in over 200 productions. Moreover, he is best known to provide the voice of the various meows of Gary the Snail in SpongeBob. Also, he was the voice of Dog in Cat Dog and the Cliff also. He also voiced in the animation series like Xiaolin Showdown, Autobots Skids and Wheelie. Apart from these, he also voiced in the Penguin on the Batman and a Mumbo Jumbo on Teen Titans. In the year 2009, he became a regular cast voice in the Fox Comedy series Sit Down, Shut Up. Apart from the acting career he is also involved in Music. He is also a singer and musician and also the lead vocalist for Syracuse, New York based band, The Tearjerkers in the 1980s. Also, he appeared regularly on NBC’s music video show Friday Night Videos. In the year 1991, he took over as the show’s regular host and replaced by Frankie Crocker later on. In the year 1996, he appeared with his wife Jill Talley in the music video Tonight, Tonight by the Smashing Pumpkins and played like a young couple taking their honeymoon on the moon. On the 1998 CD he voiced the characters Mozart and Caveman for the title track Dexter’s Laboratory: The Musical Time Machine. Moreover, he sang “Mater of your fate” for the Teen Titans episode “Bunny Raven or How to Make a Titan Animal Disappear”. In the year 2006, Tom co-wrote Sponge Bob Square Pants: The Best Day Ever with producer Andy Paley. Not only is this, he made vocal cameo in the track “TMZ” on Weird Al Yankovic’s 2011 album Apocalypse.



In the year 2001, he was nominated as the best Outstanding Individual Achievement for Voice Acting by a Male Performer in an Animated Television Production and was nominated for the Annie Award in the show Sponge Bob. In the year 2008, he was nominated in the Sponge Bob Square Pants for the Best Voice Acting in an Animated Television Production category. Not only is this, he was also nominated in the year 2010 for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and categorized as the Worst Screen Couple. In the year 2010, he won the Annie Award for the Best Voice Acting in an Animated Television Production for the Sponge Bob show. In the year 2011, he was nominated for Golden Raspberry Award for the category of Worst Screen Ensemble. Very recently in the year 2014, he won Annie Award for the category of Outstanding Achievement, Voice Acting in an Animated TV/ Broadcast Production for the Adventure Time.
