He is an American actor who started his career with TV series and currently ruling the Hollywood industry with his dashing looks and talent. Cooper achieved his fame with ‘Hangover trilogy’, ‘the A-Team’, ‘Limitless’. He is a man who was key actor of Hangover series but never suffered from a hangover.
Profile and career:
Bradley Cooper was born on 5th January’1975 in Philadelphia, and grown up in the nearby town of Jenkintown of Pennsylvania. Cooper’s mother (name Gloria) was an Italian descent who worked for local NBC affiliate. And his father, Charles cooper was an Irish descent and worked as stockbroker for Merrill Lynch. Bradley also had one sister named Holly. He was a catholic by religion. He passed his high school in 1993 from Germantown academy and after graduating from Germantown academy, he went to Villanova University for higher studies but latterly he was transferred to Georgetown University, where he completed his B.A (hons.) in English in 1997. While graduating cooper also learned to speak fluent French and thus he worked six months as an exchange student in Aix-en-Provence, France. In 1998, cooper enrolled in MFA program at actors’ studio drama school at new school University and began molding his career abilities.
While attaining his MFA program he made his acting debut in 1999 in a TV series name- ‘sex and the city’. Afterwards Cooper acted in another TV series in ‘the street’ in 2001. Simultaneously cooper made his first debut in comedy feature film ‘Wet hot American summer’ in 2001, in the same year he also starred in two more films –‘Bending all the rules’ and ‘Stella stories’. In addition to his film work, Cooper is also well known to TV audience for his fantastic work on several hits. He played lead role in a comedy series ‘Kitchen Confidential’, based on renowned chef and author Anthony. He also made some recurring roles in Alias and Jack & Bobby. He was also seen as guest spot in many shows such as Law & order: SVU, Law & order: Trial by jury etc.
After several TV series, Cooper was back on big screen; he made his first major role in a hit comedy film- ‘wedding crashers’ with Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughan in 2005. After this he appeared in ‘Failure to launch’ in 2006. After getting a very tepid response with this movie, Bradley got some success in box office with ‘Yes Man’ in which he was co-starring opposite to Jim Carry. In the same year, Cooper made his Broadway debut in the play ‘Three Days of Rain’, in which he starred with Julia Roberts and Paul Rudd. He was also the part of cast of the play- ‘The Understudy’, which was premiered to sold out audiences at the Williamston Theater festival.
It was seen that Cooper was getting great success with comedy, so in 2009 he again acted in another comedy film ‘He’s Just not that into you’, inspired by popular self-help book. In 2009 Cooper again proved his comedic talent with the release of ‘The Hangover’, this movie was an explosive hit. This movie was based on three friends(Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis) who went to LA to celebrate bachelor party weekend and lost their control with hangover and in morning they lost one of their buddy.
Then in 2010, Cooper starred in two more blockbusters – fisrt one was a ensemble romantic comedy film ‘Valentine’s Day’ and other one was a remake of ‘The-Team’. He then appeared as himself in the TV series ‘Cubed’. In the following year, he proved that he was a star in Hollywood with mind blowing roles in the high-octane techno thriller film- ‘Limitless’ and a comedy sequel ‘The Hangover part II’. In same year he was titled as the World’s Sexiest Man by people magazine too.
After that, he worked nonstop with a wide range of different roles in a list of 2012 films- he plays a gang leader in a comedy movie ‘Hit & Run’, a struggling writer in ‘The Words’, and a cop-turned politician in ‘The place beyond the Pines’. In the same year he got his biggest Hit with ‘silver Linings Playbook’, in this critically acclaimed film, cooper plays the lead role of a man who tries to re-adjust to society after leaving a mental institution. This film was nominated for seven Oscars at 2013 Academy Awards. Cooper also received a nomination for Actor in a leading role.
In 2013, Cooper appeared in the third and final installment of Hangover Trilogy, i.e. ‘The Hangover part III’ and simultaneously he also starred in David O Russell’s-‘American Hustle’ alongside Christen Bale. Both the movies were great hit.
Personal life:
Cooper married to actress Jennifer Esposito in late 2006, but within a year they got divorced. In 2010, it emerged that Cooper is in relationship with Renee Zellwegar, but in 2011 they got separated. Cooper is recently dating Zoe Saldana. He is being practicing Roman Catholic. Bradley Cooper’s lifestyle follows the typical fashion of the rich and lavish. He is a brand ambassador of most posh brands such as Louis Vuitton and diesel. On the charitable front, he is known to support the learning through the Expanded Arts Program (LEAP) which helps youth learn through involvement in acting and other arts.
