Marina Bay Sands is a Singaporean-casino based resort, facing Marina Bay in Singapore. It is spread over 15.5 hectares of land and stands at a height of 200 meters having three cascading 55-storey towers which features a fabulous sky park at the top, ‘floating’ crystal pavilions, a lotus shaped museum, international luxury brands, trendy restaurants, theatres full of entertainment, night clubs and casinos. These extraordinary and attracting features make Marina Bay Sands, a premier entertainment paradise to visit. The Marina Bay Sands project was engineered by Arup and Parsons Brinkerhoff keeping in mind the diastral effects which may cause a great damage. In addition, the custom jack legs were built to allow future modifications at more than 500 points under the pool system. The project was planned to be completed in 2009, but due to some financial crisis the work was delayed until 27 April 2010 and finally had a grand opening on 17 February 2011.

Visitors can enjoy banquets, meetings, conventions, exhibitions and roadshows at this wonderful place.  As, the resort is having convention center hosting over 45000 delegates, making it one of the largest locations in Asia and the ballrooms too are largest in Southeast Asia. The place is also having 250 meeting rooms and 2000 exhibition hall for conducting meetings and grand exhibitions. Its casino has over 600 gaming tables and 1500 slot machines along with two noodle bars. There are many other distinctive attractions at Marina Bay Sands.

The Shoppes

The Shoppes is the first large-scale shopping mall in Central Business District having awesome boutiques such as Ralph Lauren, Channel, Carter and Prada, other stores offering Salons of great International brands  like, Gucci, Hermes, Emporio Armani, Montblanc, Blancpain, Salvatore Ferragamo, Dior, Dunhill, Chopard, Vertu, Saint Laurent Paris and many more. The mall also highlighting its great Celebrity Chef Restaurants, Cut, Waku Ghin, Pizzeria, Osteria Mozza, Guy Savoy and DB Bistro Moderne.

The Shoppes also include a canal which runs through its length, two crystal pavilions, some popular nightclubs namely, Avalon and Pangaea and a world’s largest Louis Vuitton boutique. The resort has hosted many international acts and plays in the MasterCard theatres. There is a show 13 minute light and water show being organized at the Event Plaza in The Shoppes having lights, lasers and water movements, set at position against the Marina Bay Sands.

Sands SkyPark

The Sands SkyPark is a home for world’s largest public observatory deck and is even longer than the Eiffel Tower. The SkyPark is fun place having fine dining restaurants with lavish gardens such as KUDETA and also having an awesome and amusing 150-meter infinity-edged swimming pool.

ArtScience Museum is a spectacular museum and one of the biggest attractions in Marina Bay Sands owned by US Las Vegas Sands Company. It was opened on 17 February 2011 by Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

The architecture is of the form similar to a lotus flower and was designed by the architect Moshe Safdie. It is complimented as “The Welcoming Hand of Singapore” by Las Vegas Sands chairman, Sheldon Adelson. As, it has a round base in the middle, with ten expansions referred to as “fingers”. Each finger has a gallery space, having 21 gallery spaces in total and the “fingertips” having skylights which lighten the interior walls.

Casino at Marina Bay Sands is a beautiful and quite entertaining place to visit. It has a lot of gaming options such as Roulette, Sic-Bo, Singapore Stud Poker, Money Wheel etc. and one can have a lot of fun starting from the incitement of the Money wheel to the fast stepped action of Roulette. There are over 500 tables available in the casino and more than 200 games available and most of them are in the exclusive salons in the resort.

MY FAIR LADY, at Marina Bay Sands held on 11 February 2014, is a beautiful show featuring the book and the lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and the music given by Frederick Loewe. It includes classic songs “The Rain in Spain”, “Wouldn’t it be Loverly” and “Get Me to the Church On Time”. MY FAIR LADY is a tale about the triumph of the human spirit and make the audience travel to the Edwardian London, picturing a love story emerging between two heroes, ultimately joined together by their obsession with the English Language.

  • Singapore International Jazz Festival 2014

The Singapore International Jazz Festival presented by Orbis Festival Productions Pvt Ltd is

organized at Marina Bay Sands will be held from 27 February to 2 March 2014. The show will feature a spectacular performance by a band of International Jazz stars.

Sing Jazz 2014 will display the creative essence of Jazz by giving plenty of fabulous and enduring performances and embracing influences across other genres of music. Sing Jazz 2014 has achieved a a great position by establishing itself as a landmark festival in Singapore’s Annual cultural calendar.

The resort has also come into the news for interviewing many renowned and popular celebs, namely James and Oliver Phelps, the Weasely twins from Harry Potter, the Grammy award winning singer/songwriter Jason Mraz, director Wong Kar-wai with his actor Tony Leung to the premier of their action drama, Ariel Lin and Bolin Chen for their multi-award winning Taiwanese drama, In Time With You.
