She then entered Yale Law school where she served on the editorial board of the Yale Review Of Law and Social Action.
Hillary served as staff attorney for Edelman’s Newly found Children’s Defense Fund in Massachusetts as a consultant. and by 1974 she was a member of the inquiry staff during the watergate scandal. By the year 1974 she was viewed as someone with a bright political future. In 1977 President Jimmy Carter appointed her to the board of Legal Services Corporation she served in that capicity from 1978-1981 and from mid 1978 to mid 1980 she served as as the chair of the board, the first woman in the history to do so. Post her husband Bill Clinton’s election as Governor of Arkansas in 1978, she became the First Lady of Arkansan in January 1979. In 1979 she became the first woman to be made a full partner of Rose Law firm. From 1978 Hillary and her husband Bill Clinton entered the White House.When Bill Clinton took office as president in January 1993, Hillary Rodham Clinton became the First Lady of the United States, and announced that she would be using that form of her name.After moving to the state of New York, Clinton was elected as a U.
