Philanthropy
Julia is an active supporter of several charities, most notably UNICEF, she has donated towards the cause of children on various occasions. She has narrated a documentary, called Silent Angels, which is about a neurodevelopment disorder, known as Rett syndrome. This documentary was meant to spread awareness among the people about this disease. In July 2006, Earth Biofuels announced Roberts as a spokeswoman for the company and as chair of the company’s newly formed Advisory Board promoting the use of renewable fuels.
She also happens to an ardent supporter of women’s rights. She was associated with a women empowerment campaign by Gucci called ‘Chime for Change.’
