Lucy hale is a multifaceted American actress who first stepped under the spotlight when she was 14 years old. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, her career in entertainment took its first steps when she participated in an American reality show called American juniors. She went on to win the show along with 4 other contestants, hence getting noticed. Lucy is the first of her family to foray into the world of entertainment. Her mother is a registered nurse, her older sister Maggie, is a school teacher, and has a half brother named Wes. Hale was home-schooled for a major part of her childhood, with acting and singing lessons taking up a good portion of her time.

However, she was not about to allow the fact that she was essentially a small town girl, get in the way of her realising her dreams. She first began by making multiple guest appearances on already popular TV shows such as Ned’s declassified school survival guide, Drake and Josh, American Family, The O.C, How I met your Mother and Disney’s Wizards of the waverly place (A Disney production), Ruby & The Rockits, Private Practice, Jonas Brothers: Living the dream, Punk’d, baby daddy and CSI: Miami. Hale’s association with Disney did not end there. In 2011, she starred in a Disney movie called “A Cinderella story: Once upon a song.” In 2012, she lent her voice to the role of Periwinkle in the animated Disney movie “Secret of the wings.” She also recently starred in the movie Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2.Where Television was concerned, Hale had steady, recurring roles in two series Bionic Woman and Privileged. She starred in two television movies- Sorority wars and Fear Island. One of her more popular cameos was in Scream 4, playing the role of Sherrie.

In 2001, Lucy Hale landed the role of a lifetime- that of Aria Montgomery on ABC’s hit serial Pretty Little Liars. She played the role of Aria Montgomery, an artist with an old soul stuck in a young body. It was this series that helped Hale find her footing as an actress and it helped her gain wide recognition. In the series, Aria is in love with her English teacher Ezra Fitz which only serves to make her life (and his) more complicated. Aria has been dubbed as being amongst the most stylish actresses on the show.

Lucy Hale’s style is indeed one of a kind. ABC’s pretty little liars gave her the freedom to experiment and try different kinds of things with her outfits. Her style is carefully chosen to suit the occasions she’s heading to. Her style as Aria Montgomery on Pretty Little Liars is edgy, daring and youthful with heavy punk influences to show the kind of person she is. The show even had Lucy Hale rock pink hair extensions in the flashback sequences which were aired during the first season of the show. The show saw Lucy sport neon hues, bold prints and fun, chunky jewellery, with shoes to match.

MUSICAL CAREER
When she was one of the winners of American Juniors, she was a part of the quintet formed by all the winning contestants. The group recorded a debut album, but unfortunately the band disbanded shortly after. It was at that point that Lucy Hale decided to focus on her acting career and by then, singing and music had taken a backseat.
However, in the year 2012, Hale decided to bite the bullet and turn her focus back to one of her primary passions; music. On June that year, Hale announced that she’d signed a deal with Hollywood Records. The recording of the album was to be done later in that year and the album was supposed to debut in the year 2013. Hale’s debut single ‘You sound good to me’ was released on January 7, 2014. A few days later, popular YouTube Channel Vevo chose Lucy Hale as its first LIFT artist of 2014. On February 18th, 2014 it was announced officially that her debut album, titled “Road Between” would be released later in the year, on June 03, 2014.

Kendall and Libby Glazer are founders of the brand Stoney Clover Lane (SCL). In 2011, Lucy Hale co-designed a set of bracelets along with the brand founders. They were available online, priced at $100, 25% of the proceeds benefitted Dream Foundation. The bracelets were made with green beads, gold and silver dream-catchers and feather charms.
In 2011, she also acted as a special guest for a charity Christmas dinner held by Together we rise organisation. The event was held on December 16 2011 at the Diamond Bar, California. The tickets were priced at $15 each and all of the proceeds went to charity.

In addition to appearing in the Mark magalogs, she will also be the spokesperson for m.powerment by mark campaign which is the brand’s philanthropic efforts to fight against domestic abuse against young women.
