Milla Jovovich was born on December 17, 1975 in Kiev, Ukrainian SSR, former Soviet Union. Her father is Serbian and her mother is Russian. She speaks Russian and English fluently and identifies herself as a Russian, Serbian and Ukrainian. Her family moved to London when she was five years old and later to Los Angeles. Milla attended public schools in Los Angeles. She was teased by classmates in school for coming from the Soviet Union and was called a Russian spy.She left seventh grade when she was 12 to focus on modelling.
