Nicolas Kim Coppola better known as Nicolas cage was born on January 7, 1964.His father August Floyd Coppola was a professor of literature and his mother used to be a dancer and choreographer. Cage’s father was of Italian descent and his mother is of German and Polish descent .Nicolas was raised in a Catholic family .He belongs to a family where everyone is related to films in one way or the other. He completed his schooling from Beverly Hills High School and passion for acting drove him to join UCLA School of Theater, Films and Television at an early age.

At the starting of his career ,he changed his name from Nicolas Kim Coppola to Nicolas Cage .In starting, he did few small roles like in the film Fast Times at Ridgemont High,with Sean Penn.His role in 1987 movie Moonstruck was greatly appreciated by one and all.Sonny which was released in 2002 saw Cage’s debut as a director .His greatly criticized movie Ghost Rider made huge collections at box office .His role in Ghost Rider was based on the Marvel Comic’s character.Cage has won many awards for his acting including 2 Oscars.
