Controversies

katie sues star magazine for its false story

Holmes filed a $50 million libel lawsuit in March 2011 against the magazine “Star” following a cover story that suggested (falsely) that she is addicted to drugs. The magazine had to write a public apologize as well as donate an undisclosed substantial amount to ‘Dizzy Feet Foundation’ of which Holmes is a co-founder. Katie Holmes’s divorce with former husband Tom Cruise was also quite controversial. Those close to this celebrity believed that she feared intimidation by the Church of Scientology, of which Tom is a firm believer.

Katie Holmes is a promising actor who has a long way to go!
