Twist’s father is Stephen L. Gray and mother Rhonda Moore. He has a sister, Crystal Mc.Griff.  Twist attended Kennemer Middle School.

Lil Twist was signed to “Young Money” after Lil Wayne saw his talented performance at one of his concert openings back in 2007. Lil Twist released his first single, “The Texas Twist”, at a mere age of 10, which went viral to be at #1 locally in Dallas for 6 straight weeks. Twist shows his love for the rap game by constantly working on new music, whether it is a mixtape such as “The Golden Child”, or be it a single to build anticipation for his upcoming album “Don’t Get it Twisted”. He also displays his versatility in songs such as “Love Affair”, where he shows off his singing skills.

He has featured in XXL hip hop magazine’s “2011 Freshman Class”. Since then, he has been featured as a guest artist on recordings by Bieber in “Tweek”, “Wind It” and others, 2 Chainz in “Do What I Want” and with Miley Cyrus. His 2012 mixtape “3 Weeks in Miami” is collaboration with Khalil. Lil Twist has also got opportunity to give guest appearance on Disney Channel’s animated series “Fish Hooks” as the voice of Brandon Bubbler.

Ever since signing to Young Mula in 2010, Twizzy has not shown any signs of slowing down which shows the notorious YM work ethic side of him. Before starting his 8 month stint in prison, Lil Wayne blessed Twist with the nickname of Twizzy F Baby (much like Weezy F Baby) hinting that Weezy see’s his younger self in Twist.

Lil Twist previewed his “Swag” headphones and earphones, which were developed by Nikura USA, at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.


The rapper have appeared on a huge number of tours, including Wayne’s “I Am Music Tour” and Young Money‘s “America’s Most Wanted Tour”. Lil Twist performed with Tyga on the BET Awards Pre show-2011.
